Just as I feel I like PBF more,he acts stupid and makes me dislike him more! First the fight and then, this theatrical,OTT,ridiculous over reaction . I think he is just hurt fans booed him and walked out. He's not retiring. As for only caring about legacy,oh yeah,I mean it makes dollars,it makes sense etc etc all the other statements he has made, those meant nothing right.

He is just trying to make up to the fans,he knows his next fight won't do as well PPV unless he does something. Imagine you're an average fan,you just saw PBF for the first time last nigh, would you pay $49.95 to watch him again?!

    And the watches ploy!

If all he cares about is his legacy then he should retire today and maybe, just maybe our kids will be talking about how good he was 20 years from now. (PBF is a great fighter, but he fights washed up bums) Even if PBF did fight and beat De La Hoya, it would not mean shiet to me. I watched Felix Strum beat Oscar with one hand all night long lol

Oscar De La Hoya is not going to give PBF the satisfaction of a fight. NEVER!
PBF says that boxing revolves around him. But from listening to him always talking about Oscar De La Hoya, it sounds to me like boxing revolves more around Oscar than it does around PBF.
Floyd needs Oscar. The only way Floyd will get Oscar in the ring is, if PBF goes on a hate campaing like Vargas and Mayorga did. (We all know what happend to those guys for making Oscar angry)

I would like to see PBF fight Margarito, Cotto or Ricky Hatton. But it looks like PBF is afraid of all three of these pugs.

If he wants to retire, I say good riddance.

I have to disagee to an extent bro,I still want to see PBF around,I mean so many great fights can be made around him but that's only if he is willing to make the fights. I can see his next fight being against Spinks, winning a world title and proclaiming he's the best, fighting a mandatory OR if he can, getting Mosley although that situation is complicated.

I'm still not sure what Oscar wants but do you think last night's fight will have altered his mindset? I mean PBF in a super big ring,I don't think anyone has much of a chance of beating him and I can see Floyd doing what he did to Baldo to Oscar albeit it's Oscar so he may have more success.

I totally agree though,he knows deep down that Oscar is the main man in boxing, what he(PBF) WANTS to be but with his style,I don't think he ever will and what about the casual fan that maybe saw him for the first time last night? What would he think of the performance and of his bad attitude towards the end when responding to Merchant? Could you imagine Oscar getting so riled? Hell naw,Oscar is too smart for that,he has his image to uphold.

None of them bring as much $$$ to the table as Oscar. I agree though,he won't retire in 07,too much money to be made,he was just being sensitive over the booes etc.

none of those fighters you mentioned stand a snowball's chance in hell against PBF....Hatton couldn't beat Collazo....Cotto hasn't fought anyone near PBF's ability..and Margarito has fought nobody's!!! PBF is the greatest fighter fighting today bar none...in any division.....abilitywise there is PBF then the rest.....
It feels good to be back home.

Floyd is afraid of Margarito, Cotto and Hatton? Let me ask you something. Does Hatton still run and hide in his closet everytime his neighbor knocks on his door and disguises his voice as either Floyd or Collazo? Thought so. Bye bye now

I think he is serious. If he truely keeps hurting his hand, that is. As Mayweather faces tougher and tougher guys he will look more and more ridiculous trying to win fights with a maimed hand.

Maybe he is trying to pull a Sugar Ray Leonard and come back to beat the man of the hour and retire again. Afterall, all of them try to do what the other guy did. Like Hopkins wanting Oleg so Roy Jones Jr has nothing on him.

It's bullshit if he retires. It's bullshit if he keeps fighting zombies. I don't care what he does.

If the retires now I can assure you wit his resume he WILL fall very short in the ALL-TIME P4P list. I would say top 20 but not top 10 not only that but he claims to be greater then SRR, please just look around the net and see if you come up on any reports that state SRR dodges so and so, you wont thats cause SRR fought everyone at any weight.
PBF states he want's 1 more fight, that being ODLH well you are levaing Hatton, Margarito, Winky, SSM in the wind now I'm not blaming you 100% for not fighting them all but not fighting them means you didn't fight the best.

De la hoya did well to beat mayorga but its common knowledge he's well past his best. a fight with de la hoya now will do nothing for pbf's legacy, five years ago it would of meant a lot more.

floyds got unfinished business and untill he beats at least 2 of hatton, cotto or margarito he wont be considered anywhere near a top ten p4p of all time.
