Default Paul Williams Can Beat Anyone in His Division

If his people continue to handle him right. He immpressed me more than Floyd the other night and I think he would give anyone problems. He is also exiciting to watch because of his style and energy.

I think he is good for the Sport nice style, but i feel his defence needs to improve big time, if he gets in with a puncher I.e Margorito he could well be sparked, Shambra Mitchell rocked him so the bigger guys of the division could well give him problems.

Williams didnt impress me as much this time out, because he was up against a journeyman...

He has potential, got to iron out his weaknesses though. That defence is very penetrable. If he could utilise his distance more effectively that would really help him a lot....

his power is starting to look not as good as it used to, i think that if he goes in against the 5'10 Margarito, he'll have too many problems and end up tasting his first defeat

I think his defence is starting to improve and he has pretty good head movement. Margarito would be no walk in the park though i think he can beat him. However I really like his chances against floyd or even Hatton in the future (will never happen though)

No chance Hatton has Williams on his radar.

I had never seen Williams fight before and I was impressed. He pretty much beat the shit out of that guy he fought, journeyman or not. Definitely would be interesting to see him in there with Margarito. What is Williams like 6 foot 2? That is humongous for a welterweight! He could be possibly be the first welterweight (i think) to win the heavyweight title with dimensions like that...not sayin he will but who knows?

Mayweather beats Williams. Hatton would be a very tough fight for Willaims as the pressure mite proove to be too much. Cotto would take Willaims. I do think he could beat Margarito if he sorts his defence out however.

He is a dangerman, a great fighter but I cannot agree that he would ebat everyone. Even if he beat my boy Tony(and it would be a great fight),I still think he would be undone by a big banger like Cintron. He's just too open and Matyhsse shook him a few times. He cuold also get out slicked by Quintana so I'm not sure but hey, what a fricking great division!

Sorry El gamo, not seeing that one. And you know Im not quick to jump to the defence of Margarito.. But he's a better fighter than Cintron, although he maybe doesn't hit as hard.. IF Williams could beat Margarito, I honestly don't see Kermit beating him. You never know but based on Cintrons fights with Tony and Estrada, he doesn't handle pressure very well.. And he certainly doesn't have a great chin. I think Williams would steamroll him just like Margarito did and would again. Cintron is becoming overrated imo. Just like he was before Margarito owned him.. Wonder who will be the next to.

See bro,I would normally agree but Cintron looked ok against Suarez you know and not just that but Manny Steward can get the best out of fighters. I think Steward can get him into the right frame of mind and with his power,I think he could hurt Paul. And although he was not great against Estrada,I think by winning the fight,he over came a mental block. I mean he won and that must have done his confidence a world of good. I'm not over hyping but he is dangerous, and with the right trainer and frame of mind,he is a danger at 147.

Yeah I didn't see his last fight, because I have no idea who Suarez was.. It kinda irritated me that their fight was for a title. But hey, if he's improving good for him, maybe your right.. He certainly has a very dangerous build for 147 and he does have a good hard straight right hand.. I just think his infighting ability is poor, he will need to bank on that right hand from the outside heavily until he improves in that area.. Williams chin is still a question mark though, so it is basically impossible to pick a winner in this one.. But IF Williams could take his punch, I think he would just get inside and bully Cintron.. Definetly would be a good fight to make though, maybe have the winner fight the Margarito-Clottey winner. Any news on a next opponent for Cintron??

I don't think it should have been for a title either but hey, that's boxing. Suarez was supposed to be a dangerous fighter(I real a few places predicting he would beat Kermit and he certainly landed some heavy blows) but this is the only fight I have seen of him! Cintron's camp has been doing the usual BS over hyping,he wants the world type thing but in all honesty,I expect it to be a tune up and then a big fight after, maybe a unification with Cotto? That's certainly been mentioned and I know Cintron definitely wants one fight in Puerto Rico and one fight in his hometown,Reading I think??
