And for the Floyd fans I AM NOT HATING.....I just expect my all-time great fighters to be great and strive to achieve goal after goal after goal.

Floyd has ALWAYS had the ability to be great he just hasn't capitalized on it until recently....which means he better not retire anytime soon!

Yes.... but I've seen so many fighters look like a million bucks with competition they
    were supposed to win.

I saw something... in Floyd's recent fights. I see it as clear as daylight.

And Lyle "Those guys just got caught up in the hype...for the TRUE greats what they did was NEVER good enough"
    Totally agree MAN!!!

I personally dnt believe he has to be in great fights cuz he always gets the job done, but he does need 5 or 6 big name fights and a belt at another weight class. discuss
I think to get up to be a GOAT, floyd would have to do the following:

    1) win a title at 154 before age 30
    2) fight a big name fighter: ODLH
    3) stay undefeated.
    4) do something that's promotes boxing as a whole (instead of just himself)
    5) Unify at a weight division (140, 147, 154 any will do)
    6) The problem is that there aren't that many big reputable names that will do much for his legacy. Arguments can be made for Hatton, Margarito etc. but those are guys that can't be compared to the big name fights of yesteryear.

those are the first things that come to mind. I'm sure there are more, but to even be considered as part of this category he has a good 5 years worth of fights left, and it's not looking like that's gonna happen. I like floyd as a boxer, and I think he has the potential for it, but personally I don't have him in the top 50 for GOAT yet.
I think you have hit this on the head....I want to see him unify something before the GOAT moniker ..IMO he is the best out there today and he is in my top 25.....ok he is in my top 5.....and with a unification or win over ODLH he would move to my top#3......
It feels good to be back home.

there are may fighters that most have ranked higher because of their accomplishments in the past....I don't think fighters from the 50's or earlier stand a snowballs chance in hell against todays fighters....PBF is the best fighter today!!! that has got to stand for something.....
It feels good to be back home.

Look at the depth of 147 and how man dangerous fighters there are,and you can't be an all time great beating guys like Mitchell,Brusseles etc etc. Like I said, supremely talented but NO WAY top GOAT!!! NO WAY!
yeah i agree with lyle and you mate. he aint GOAT until we start seeing some competitive fights out of him against the decent fighters of toda. mayweather knows what the fights the people want to see, all he has to do is give us them
