    Default Velocity????????

Hey guys whats your thoughts on VELOCITY??
Im not quite sure if im so SOLD on it. I mean i can see how its great for like a marathon runner, or maybe even like a football player, but those LA metros at VELOCITY seem like they cater more to like CELEBS like J-LO trying to trim down her prize PR booty than a champ winning 12 rounds??

anyone whos fought knows its all about sparring, sparring, sparring. I dont know seeing the footage of what they were having EM do at the Velocity gym I was NOT impressed?

I have not seen any videos of him training. I guess his biggest issue has to be that he ran out of gas and his legs gave in.

The thing in Eriks mind has to be stamina and knowing he was able to hang in the first fight and even clown around in the last round. (There was a lot of buzz about PAC having personal problems which may or may not have been a factor) The gloves were an issue also the weight move to 130 <--I think for PAC? The Cut also was a factor in the first fight? Yes? I could be wrong about the weight issue. Eriks people most likely feel that if Erik can be more mobile in this fight and especially in the later rounds, he may have a chance agains PAC.

Here is what Velocity says about it's program.

Why Choose Velocity Sports Performance? We can give you a good reason for training with us. In fact, we’ll give you 10 good reasons!

    1. Scientifically designed & proven training programs

All of our programs are created by Loren Seagrave, world-renowned speed and sports performance coach to numerous elite and professional athletes, as well as collegiate national champions. Our programs are scientifically designed to improve speed, power and agility – the three pillars of athleticism.

    2. Degreed & certified coaches

At Velocity Sports Performance we only select the best of the best when it comes to our coaching staff. We require our coaches to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field, and to have coached at least at the collegiate level.

    3. Guaranteed personal attention from the coach

Athletes train in small, semi-private groups. We believe that training in small groups allows more personal one-on-one attention between coach and athlete, which ensures that each athlete will be able to get the instructions they need in order to improve.

    4. Guaranteed improvement!

That’s right – guaranteed. We are so confident in our programs that we guarantee results after 24 sessions.

    5. A variety of different programs for a variety of different people

We have programs for males and females of any age, any skill level, athlete or not. Just looking to improve your fitness level? Want to make the Varsity team next year? Looking to make the next Olympic team? Or interested in a Nutrition program to supplement your workout? We have a program for YOU.

    6. A state-of-the-art facility with state-of-the-art equipment - just like the pros use!

Each of our state-of-the-art training facilities is between 15,000 – 30,000 square feet with athletic turf fields, sprint tracks, hard court basketball / volleyball surfaces and Olympic style weightlifting equipment – all from the best vendors in the business. You’ll train just like a pro…

    7. Or train next to a pro!

At Velocity Sports Performance we train athletes of all skill levels, from an 8-year-old Little Leaguer, to an NFL running back. Sometimes both are training in the facility at the same time! This gives our younger athletes a chance to see first-hand that what they are doing even works for the pros – not to mention giving them the chance to train next to a pro!

    8. A video analysis system that shows improvement

We use a video analysis system which allows athletes to see their athletic performance in action, and allows our coaches to analyze their athletic performance. This gives coaches the opportunity to make corrections where necessary, and gives athletes the opportunity to see how they are improving.

    9. One-on-one meetings with athletes, parents and coaches

Periodic meetings are scheduled between coaches, athletes and parents to discuss the athlete’s performance and improvement, and to give parents the opportunity to better understand the program and what their child is experiencing.

    10. We are continuously improving and adding to our programs

To better serve our clients we will always be adding new programs and features, and supplementing our current programs. We strive to always offer our clients the best of what’s available in the sports performance, health and fitness industries.

We shall see in 5 days wether or not Velocity did anything to immprove Eriks performance in the ring. I hope it does because Cotto is working with Velocity too.

It can't hurt though. I'm sure cheese burgers, fries, and certain burritos aren't used by Velocity.

I can't see how it can hurt. I see it as a plus. Some fighters don't have the mental discipline or the education to eat like a Bernard Hopkins or a Kostya Tszyu. Some fighters need to be watched and learn how to eat right.

heheh Although funny to see Morales do... the workouts don't seem hard.

    How can that be bad?

I feel what you are saying. Kind of like the Tony Robbins of training.
If Erik wins you can bet a lot of fighters will take a look into Velocity.
Anthony Robbins helped Andre Agassi get his mental edge back when Andre was in a slump and losing.

    Authority on Peak Performance
Highly respected as the nation's foremost authority on the psychology of peak performance and personal, professional, and organizational turnaround, Robbins has advised and counseled Fortune 500 CEOs, world-renowned medical doctors, championship sports teams (including America's Cup Winner, America 3; Stanley Cup finalist, Los Angeles Kings; NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs; and other teams in the NHL, MLB, and NBA), elite athletes and coaches (including Andre Agassi; Greg Norman; and championship winning athletes in the NFL, PGA, USTA and NASCAR) and legends in entertainment (such as Quincy Jones and Anthony Hopkins).

How effective all this is? It works for some people and for others it don't.

I don't know enough about Velocity so, I can't call it.
