I would like to see him fight someone like Peter Manfredo.

He seems to be doing all the things right at the moment, building up the titles and moving through the national and regional belts, so the national progression for him would be to beat some washed-up fighters who once were considered up there, but have lost their way, like Manfredo, but what I'd really like to see is him against some other top contenders like Lucian Bute, Allan Green or Carl Froch.

from all of the clips I've seen, Lucian Bute may be the future of the SMW division. He's got the goods.

If I'm not mistake Jean is one of Starrs fav. fighters shes been saying hes got the goods for a minute now....

Hes coming along slowly I like that they are matching him up accordingly, not like Sechew Powell who was just thrown in there with Ouma.... Bad managing there IMO...

I guess now that 'Bad' Chad is no longer at SMW, I guess Jean could be the future of the division....

Pascal might be the best natural athlete at 168, but he's gotta start stepping it up a bit. He wants to be Roy Jones, usually I would say that's a bad thing, but he might have enough athletic ability to be at least a good imitation of him. Not saying he'll achieve what RJ did by any means, but compared to most of the RJ posers his ability and coordination is better.

He might not even be the best Canadian super Middle though, Bute's pretty impressive too.

I must admit with Kessler, Froch, Bute, Andrade, Lacy, Manfredo and Allan Green etc the supermiddleweight division is going to be possibly the best divison in 2007 and 2008.

When you factor in that Jermain Taylor is moving up after his fight with Ouma, ad Edison Miranda could follow shortly after you'd have to say this could be where the action will be!

Let Joe Calzaghe move up to light heavy, but he certainly is not leaving an empty divison.

It's bubbling up quite nicely now.

Not seen him fight yet but heard he's good.

Definitely the division to watch in 2007 imo

He has all the goods to be better than anyone else in the division, but he has a leaky defense because he tries to fight like Roy Jones Jr., and he isn't the same athlete RJJ is/was. I think he was the best amateur in his weight class in the world, but didn't have enough time to prepare for the Olympics or he would have won, but the bottom line is that he has to find his own style, and then he will be a great p4p boxer.
