    Omar Nino failed his drug test after the Valoria fight. He tested positive for methamphetamine after the fight.

    WBC 108lb world champion Omar Nino has failed his post fight drug test following his controversial draw against Brian Viloria on November 18 in Las Vegas. The Nevada Attorney General has already filed a case against Nino, who apparently tested postitive for methamphetamines, and is now facing a fine and suspension.

    Look what happened with Salido...
    Turns out he was clean in...

    Not saying Ninos clean but re-tests are there for a reason....

    Can anyone explain what methamphetamines could be beneficial to take for a boxer and how? I think of speed but I know there are other methamphetamines I really don't know much about it.

    Quicker reflexes, more energy all that good stuff. I think listing opiates as a banned substance is just dumb. I mean who's gonna be like "hmm if my reaction time was slower and my balance was out of whack i'd have a better chance to beat this guy".
