How is Mike the "greater fighter" when he never beat a prime great and never won a fight he wasn't supposed to never got off the deck to come back and win....Foreman did all those things from his 20's to his mid 40's!!!!

Foreman is greater than Frazier IMO, but they are right next to one another on my list

All of you Mike Tyson fanatics who say things like "his defense was incredible" and "he was unbeatable" were fooled! Mike Tyson was a GOOD fighter a la Floyd Patterson but he didn't have Floyd's heart and Floyd didn't have Tyson's mean streak but they were both VERY beatable and their defenses were only good vs certain types of fighters.

I don't totally discredit Tyson but people say the heavyweight division is weak NOW but what about in Tyson's hayday I didn't see anyone other than Frank Bruno and OLD Larry Holmes on Mike's resume back then....in the 1990's he just didn't fight the top guys he wanted to keep the "Baddest man in the planet" facade going....he never fought Morrison, Mercer, McCall, Bowe, and that's just a few of the guys who could have whipped Tyson's a**.
Quite a few speculations in here... Again no one here is disputing that George is considered greater because of his overall body of work.... BUT this is a 1 time fight between the 2 of them not a resume war!!!! George of the 70's was slow plodding and had 0 defense but had helacious punching power..... The only person George ever fought that would be close to being as fast was ALI... There is very little comparison to an 86-89 Tyson than a 70's Frazier, I'm sorry but its true... Just like Tyso would of Blew Frazier out in about 3 rounds...

Very Bad Matchup for George when essense Foreman is Tailor made for Tyson..
i disagree prime foreman loved brawlers that tried to weave and come right to him that way in he could hit them with the uppercut now question is would tyson have the heart to withstand foremans punches ?? because sooner or later tyson would get hit with one of them sorry bro but i also disagree with fraizer being blown out in 3 rounds aswell
Ok Elaborate.... Frazier was a brawler who made a living taking 2-3 punches to give 1... How long would that last against a Prime Mike Tyson Not to Mention He would of gotten overwhelmed by Tysons handspeed and ability to put together devestating Combos

fraizer had good headmovement and would cause tyson to miss and vice a versa fraizer would get dropped early but i feel sometimes pure heart and guts wins and i think fraizer would survive tysons early storm and get tko because fraizer hit very hard and quick with that left hook i feel frazier would outgut tyson imo anyway tyson does get discouraged when people fight back we have seen it and i feel the same would happen here i feel fraizer has the chin to survive the early storm of tyson and at about round 5 will start coming back

Frazier could not withstand a metodical slow puncher like Foreman who would have more of a propensity to miss than Tyson who early on 86-89 had the handspeed of a Welterweight and ripped off devastating 4-5 punch Combos with regularity... like I said earlier during that 3 year stretch before Douglas Tyson was a Bona Fied world beater who with a clear head and direction you could have gotten a time machine cause he would have beat any version of any fighter who came to the table... Period!

No I'm not overrating Tyson!!!!! I was very specific about the time frame Tyson was elite, anyone can see a decline especially someone who has a bigger library than the Smithsonian...

1st go's Focus and discipline out of ring charades
    2nd went head movement
    3rd go's to jail
4th stops combo punching only looked for the 1 big punch
5th went his heart and willingness to fight and take punishment....

Foreman had trouble with Ron Lyle and lost to Jimmy Young.. yea a Jimmy YOung who got beat by Tony Tucker, Tony Tubbs, Ken Norton... and 16 other guys

foreman wasnt in his prime against young or lyle plus jimmy young was well past it when he fought tucker and tubbs you know that yourself jt young in his prime was sound fighter he lost to ali in which many thought he won got a draw against shavers in which alot people thought he won and lost razor thin decision to ken norton tyson was great fighter of course he was but not unbeatable like some people try and make out but i love good debate anyway this is all good fun

Foreman PHYSICALLY manhandled Joe Frazier...that's how he won Foreman was bigger, pushed Frazier back and kept him on the ropes.

Foreman wasn't slow his hands for the power they carried moved pretty good he only wound up on a guy when he had them hurt.

Joe Frazier had more heart and determination in one finger than Mike Tyson had in his whole body! Joe worked hard, he pressed the action and when Tyson tried to tie him up is when the fight would turn. Frazier was just as big as Mike but threw more punches and took a better punch too

Also Joe lost 4 fights...Ali TWICE, Foreman TWICE...compare that with who Mike lost to!
