Hello, My Dad Joseph Gambino Fought Willie Pepp back in the 50's. Does anyone know where I can get anything about this fight.

I checked the IBHOF Boxing Register under Willie Pep and found the match. It was March 31 1953 in Tampa Florida. Pep won a 10 round decision against Joey Gambino. Hope this helps a little. You might try the IBHOF website or BoxRec or some of the other historical or boxing records sites.

Welcome mate . Thats a wicked thing to be able to say....my dad lost a decision to one of the P4P greatest fighters of all time!! Anyways what happened to your dad, did he just give up on the idea of boxing or what?

He fought before I was born. We were not exactly what you would call a close knit family. Right now he is in the end stages of emphysema and was asking if there was any video out there of the fight. Just seeing what I can do try to get anything for him. He used to have a scrap book. Not sure what happened to that either. I think one of my sister's took it along with his pair of golden gloves.
