I know that Stanley Ketchell KO'd heavies, but he was a middleweight. So was Bob Fitzsimmons.Originally Posted by Scrap

Charley,Probably the best one happened in the gym when he sparked Elmer Ray. But he gave 50lb away a few times just to get work. Hed already beaten the welter and middleweight champs in non Title fights Billy Con didnt want to know. So he had to put food on the table, I love this qoute from Archie Moore. People ask me who was the best fighter you ever met I tell them Rocky Marciano because thats what they want to hear. Hell he beat me when I was 42 and I gave him a great battle. Charley Burley was the best, he beat me in my prime Burley gave me a Boxing lesson

Kostya Tszyu, Iran Barkley, Tito such sweet 1 punch power and incredible technique.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
Satterfield. Saw him up close and in person. Holy s---! When he missed, his opponent was staggered. Also, a guy out Chicago by the name of Box Foxworth. And also, Jeff "Candy Slim" Merritt.

In my opinion an Arturo Gatti at 130 and 135 was a big hitter...
Loved him at the lower weights..

Exactly.. Gatti is another case of a guy moving up and not looking as good.. I agree. gatti at 130 135 was terrific fighter ! #247 One of the main reason I am glad Ricky is staying at Jr Welterweight.. that’s his best weight, why move up and look bad stupid people talking about Ricky moving up to higher weight.. It's not in his best interest to do so.. plenty of talent at 140.. Kostya Tszyu stayed at 140 his entire career .Originally Posted by Tito_BHB

Yehh im starting to think that these multiple weight champs are overrated.. Multiple weight champs who are winning and dropping titles like nothing and yet theres no divisions getting unified...
Gatti had some real power down low although he did suffer some losses there..He wasnt untouchable..
But thats where he made his name.. It was a shame to see him somewhat humiliated at the higher weights where he couldnt shine as bright...
Also i always found it a shame that arturo didnt box more often.. I was often amazed how arturo could start of a fight using his jab and he looked very good at times..
I like hatton's chances of becoming undisputed at light welter should he get past castillo...
I like a unified champ.. Only problem with that is having to take all the mandatories like bhop did..
Then they get criticised for taking the mandatories..
Peace
