Default Mayweather Sr disses Oscar De La Hoya

Quoted today by the Ap in regards to not getting the 2 million he asked for, Mayweather Sr. dissed De La Hoya for being "obvious" super tight and questioned if it was greed, saying: "It's obvious the man is super tight," Mayweather Sr. added: "What comes first in this particular situation, greed or the fight? But he can do what he wants. I make money. Money don't make me. I'm going on with my life."

Mayweather Sr was aslo confident of the role he played in the last few year and compared his relationship with De La Hoya to the assortment of trainers De La Hoya has gone through. "Oscar's fired every trainer he's had. He's had all the so-called greats and he's fired every one of them, but has he fired me? No. And that should tell you something."

geez what do you think? was floyd asking for too much money or is oscar greedY?

Wouldn't it be something if the Daddy Mayweather helped train his son for some reason.

From Oscar's perspective, maybe it's not because he's being cheap.

While he values what Mayweather has done for him as a trainer, maybe he doesn't want the distraction of the Floyd Sr.-Floyd Jr. soap opera for the next 4 months. It's a tough enough task for DLH as it is to fight the best fighter in the world, maybe he doesn't need the added aggravation of answering questions about Floyd Sr. day after day after day.

Oscar is a businessman, but he's also a competitor, and I can't see him doing something that will hurt his chances to win a megafight. Maybe he feels that the best thing for him is to be able to focus without all this stuff swirling around the guy training him.

It will never happen. Floyd Jr. knows that if he let his father in and he goes on to beat De La Hoya his father will try and take credit. Floyd Jr will have none of that.
