It's a tie between Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe dodging every good fighter on God's green Earth, God's blue Earth, God's red Earth and so on.

Exactly, I don't think it was cowardly at all, it just shows the lack of control that Tyson has.

He left his corner alright...he headed to the locker room. Too bad, he had weathered the storm it was only going to get easier for him as the fight went on.

Golota just loses every BIG FIGHT in a worse manner than the one before

Ricky Hatton hasn't dodged anyone...Joe Calzaghe hasn't dodged many people.....they just would rather fight in England and other fighters feel they can't get a fair shake over there. Same can be said of Roy Jones Jr. who wouldn't fight outside of the US.....it's just the nature of the beast, some people care more about their records than other people....in the old days you just fought the best out there regardless of records.

I would say the most cowardly acts in boxing are as follows

Sonny Liston diving in the first round in the rematch vs Ali

Roberto Duran quitting vs Ray Leonard in the rematch.....he never really recovered from that

Shannon Briggs trash talking Sam peter and Wladimir Klitschko and yet never legitimately trying to fight them..... for example

Shannon Briggs is what we like to call a PUSSY

He said Wlad was supposed to avenge his losses.....well Shannon never fought Sedrick Fields again....he never fought Darrol Wilson again.....he never fought Lennox Lewis again......he never fought Jameel McCline again.....it pisses me off to no end the way that mother fucker talks shit....make a fucking fight already!!!!! SULTAN IBRAGIMOV!!!!! Bull crap!

I agree with you that since Lacy and Tszyu neither has continued to operate at that level and it p1sses me off bigtime! - but give them credit for both doing something that not many people thought they would or could - and doing it in style i.e beating the recognized number 1 in their division

Gotta disagree here, you say he never really recovered from that.
I think the famous 'No Mas' did not affect his legacy, career or mental state of mind. He knew exactly what he was doing and was well aware that he did not wan't to continue to fight out of frustration that SRL was as good as a balarina in a pink tutu dancing in the ring with him.
He made a choice and he lived with it.

IMO, after that lost his career got some momentum back up he beat Pipino, Moore & his last hurrah! was Barkley. Which ultimately many people say the Moore & Barkley wins are what solidified his career as a G.O.A.T.

This here I completely agree, I remeber watching this on tv and saying what the fwock is Briggs saying & why is he dressed like hes on his way to school?

Hes a loud mouth and I hope once Wladdy & him settle out their fights on the 10th they can meet up and Wladdy hands him his a$$ on a golden tray...

Tszyu hasn't fought again, yet. And Lacy continues to be the mediocre fighter he always has been. So what exactly is your point? Let me guess. Like always you have none, right?

Well Tszyu was beaten into retirement - so wots your point??

...and 'Lacy was always mediocre' 'nobody ever rated him' , 'Calzaghe was always gonna beat him' - I am sure you had Calzaghe favourite for that fight didn't ya LMAO

Shouldn't have 'medirocre' fighters all over Billboards and featured in the superbowl and being billed as the Super Middle weight Tyson should ya.

Just because most picked Lacy to beat Calzaghe doesn't mean that with hindsight they can't realize that he wasn't as good as they thought.. And I didn't even pick Lacy, I thought it could go either way without even having seen much of Calzaghe.. It's not as if there wasn't evidence that Lacy was seriously overhyped before he fought Joe... He struggled in several fights, with donnel Wiggins, Rubin Williams, Omar Sheika( who I had seen Calzaghe completely tortue and stop 5 years and 4 BAD LOSSES prior to his going the distance with Lacy, hurting him and winning many rounds), I think there were even another couple fights where he looked bad or was even in trouble like those 2. Can't really disagree with your point, since all the hype for Lacy was there, but it wasn't really deserved and there's nothing wrong with pointing that out after the fact.

Mate the amount of sh1t I listened to on here about how Calzaghe was gonna get murdered and how awesome Lacy was - regardless of whether Lacy was or wasn't it just p1sses me off when people discredit the win now - not saying VD was on the Lacy bandwaggon beofre hand but so many were.

Oh no doubt.... But I think it has as much, if not more, to do with people who just didn't know Calzaghe or hadn't seen him fight, than it was people who thought Lacy was the next Tyson. If Calzaghe had recently had a performance like the one he put on against Lacy that enough people had seen, I doubt people would have been saying the same kind of things beforehand.. I just didn't hear many people saying, "yeah Calzaghes a great fighter but I think Lacy has enough to beat him".. It was more like "Calzaghes an overprotected mediocre champ who's never fought anyone, Lacy will KO him.." Few people really had seen a good amount of both fighters I'd bet. But Like I said, nothing wrong with using hindsight to realize that Jeff wasn't what people were making him out to be. I just don't put Calzaghe's win over Lacy on the same plane as Hatton's win over Tszyu, though I think Joe is a better p4p fighter than Hatton he hasn't beat anyone like KT.. Even Collazo was a better opponent respectively than anyone Calzaghe has fought in donkeys years, imo.

People discredit Lacy to discredit Calzaghe....that's sad!

Jeff Lacy had some big balls to go over to England and fight Joe Calzaghe.....no other top teir American fighters can say they did that!

Not Toney, not Hopkins, not Johnson, not Tarver, not even Roy Jones Jr.

And Calzaghe won like a true champion.

It has nothing to do with discrediting anyone. Lacy did have some big balls to go over there, but that was probably his biggest in ring asset he brought with him.. He just wasn't the fighter people made him out to be. I don't know how anyone can really even argue that.

Lacy is a brawler....he did what he could.

He wasn't seasoned enough to fight Calzaghe but did it anyways....hats off to him
