Default Floyd Mayweather Jr Vs ODLH (MUST READ)

this is my first post ever on the subject of these to fighting. i will right what i think n who i believe will win this. so take it easy guys

firstly i aint really a fan of either, oscar doesnt fight often enough for me to become a proper fan and he is kinda boring (press conferences). but he is/was a great fighter no doubt.
floyd is also a wicked fighter, has THE TALENT to become the greatest boxer of all time p4p. but he hasnt fought everyone, he hasnt been in that many big fights. like leonard-duran. he needs to fight hatton for them kinda fights. i dont like him cos he says he the greatest eva n he hasnt fought everyone whereas leonard n ali fought everyone, dangerous fighters!...n won!
also i heard he dissed leonard once, somat about losing to a lightweight (duran)

when i first heard these two were fighting i thought, oscar is too big, big left hook, n skillful, he'll knock floyd out. then i remembered the mayorga fight. if any of you's have boxed before you'd have seen a big weakness in oscar that night. oscar wasnt throwing much, alot of covering up, EVEN mayorga was able to quickly close the range n bang in a few body shots n go out, infact thats what won him some of the rounds. maybe that was the plan, oscar wasnt wasting much punches, when he threw his punches, they were in bunches and were effective! yes he was making mayorga go back but any skilled fighter would have done what mayorga was doing even better. mayorga was closing range banging a few to the body, and sometimes threw an uppercut. one got thru. oscar that night was being far too patient.
i thought mayorga was landing quite easily, anyone with more skill would pick him apart. but ur entitled to ur own opinion. even if oscar decides to run at floyd, floyd could get into his defensive shell, be too cute (like toney v holyfield) n counter. FLOYDS STYLE IS MORE WELL ROUNDED TO OSCARS, MORE VERSATILE! is oscar runs, floyd will beat him, if he is too patient like last fight he'll get picked apart, if he tries making it a chess match, well u can guess what happens then. (NOBODy BEATS FLOYD IN CHESS..LOL) if he runs at floyd, well i already told u what i think would happen. his best bet is to try n slug it out with floyd n land tht left hook, then it shud get interesting!

ppl that are sayin oscar is too big should think, they gonna be same weight on the night, most likely. they both started at lightweight so oscar really himself is also a welterweight. yes he fought at middleweight but he didnt luk healhty at that weight, he luked like a fat c***. dont forget floyd must have sparred with ppl who are bigger than him in the gym, so really its not gonna be somat new. floyds style has alot of james toney init, the defensive tricks, shoulder rolls, (apart from the running away tactics) he could stand in front of u n make u miss, this is what floyd plans on doing against oscar, n i think this tactic will work against oscar. jus imagine a james toney style against a oscar style. so u can get the size factor out of here, cos its not that huge a factor, floyd spars with super middleweights! i think floyd is gonna be too cute on the night n win.

Basically THE REASON WHY I THINK FLOYD WINS THIS IS COS FLOYDS STYLE IS MORE VERSATILE. FLOYD WILL ADAPT TO ANY CHANGES (MUCH LIKE TONEY!) he is more well rounded as a boxer, he is alot smarter imo. if oscar fights how he did in his last fight, then i think floyd would pick him apart all night.

the onli fighter that i think could beat floyd is hatton. ricky hatton that is. remember this saying 'a boxer would beat a slugger, a slugger would beat a volume puncher, a volume puncher would beat the boxer!'

i'd like to hear from all of you's, i dont want to know who u want to win but who u think is gonna win n why. have u got a betta arguement than mine?

o ye, i forgt to say that this is still an interesting fight n anything could happen. what i said above is based on ones style mainly, not who they fought n there competition of the past etc.

Ricky don't beat Floyd he had move back down to light welterweight because he were'nt strong enough at welterweight his own addmission so he would'nt be strong enough for Floyd who has fought and beat 2 of the strongest welters and is now moving upto 154

2 ov the strongest welters? dont think so.

floyd is fighting a man with 2 defeats in his last six
he did the same with judah
gatti had one defeat in his last six
    as did brussles
    as did sharmba

    not good enough imo
de la hoya is fighting off his name, not his skills, in this fight

hatton - 3 of his last six have had 6or more winning streaks running into his fight with him.
    same with cotto

These 3 are the real deal, they need to fight eahother if any are to have a legacy
oscar as much as he hates to admit it, and castillo , and judah are merely bit parts in the legacy of other fighters.

dont get me wrong tho i pray oscar can beat mayweather

Don't forget, he also criticized SRR for losing in his Light Heavyweight title bout :P
But I still love the guy anyways!

Floyd always looks better against bigger men.
There's just so much target for him to hit with his accuracy.
The fight won't be as lopsided as the Corrales or Baldomir fights, but I think the general blueprint will be the same.
Floyd won't knock him out with his power but he will make Oscar hesitant to unload fearing the counters. And a hesitant opponent makes for a good good night for Floyd.
The one thing that does worry me is that I think Floyd's gonna see Oscar's lanky body and probably throw a lot of jabs to the body.
Now, I like that strategy to chop this tree down, but something I noticed is that Floyd does tend to drop his right hand a little whenever he throws a jab to the body.
I'm saying right now, watch for the Oscar left hook counter when Floyd goes to the body. I do believe Floyd's got a good chin on him though.
Might be an early scare, but Floyd goes on to win a convincing UD.

Do you think Hatton can beat Mayweather then my main point was the weight and strength thing and the fact Hatton moved back down because he was'nt strong enough at welter

i dont kno, to be honest no, not at welter, but the fight needs to happen reguardless.

hattons determination to beat the shit out of flloyd may just be enough of an advantage to wipe out the weight disadvatage. i tell you, if i was fighting flloyd i wuld train and try ten times harder than for anyone else lol!

My opinion is that Mayweather v Hatton would be a mismatch Mayweather stops Hatton in 6 rounds after making him look daft for 5 rounds but i would still watch it to see if im wrong

difference betweeen mayweather gatti and mayweather hatton is that at one point during the fight, hatton WOULD land the big left hook. then the fight would begin

    Totally agree.
PBF - Hatton should've happened about a year and a half ago. So much of the lustre of this matchup is gone imo.
With each passing day it seems like the fight would be more and more lopsided.
I respect Hatton with whatever organ in my body controls respect, but determination won't be enough. Floyd may act like a punk outside of the ring but he trains for and takes every fight as serious as anyone. Way too much slickness for Hatton to deal with.

I think Hatton would be a good test for Floyd, but I think Floyd would win the fight no problem.

LMAO have u heard urself. hatton wud always be a problem for floyd, and a big one at that! do u really think hatton will give floyd the distance like gatti? hatton was all over KT and even he couldnt do sh1t even tho he got the skill and power. ok ok i can hear u, the guy hadnt been busy enuff n was washed up. floyd DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER TO HURT HATTON, floyd couldnt even knockdown judah, n we know his chin all too well. hatton said to keep him off, ur gonnna need some serious fire power......and i say,..floyd mayweather jr dont have that!
floyd recently said he will postpone his retirement jus to fight hatton, this fight has to happen. they both on a collision course!
