LOL..take a guy like Ben Tackie... he is just so small. (can't really tell on T.V.) and to think he is fighting at 140 is amazing , Ben has to be wearing ankle weights to make that weight. he is so small is stature, but you talk about a warriors mentality, I just love the guy !

CC. Billy Conn is one of my favorites. Great fighter, shame the war got in the way of an immediate rematch with Louis. I'm a big fan of those old time Pittsburgh boxers and Conn was one of my favorites.

Funny little story about Conn and his impact on his city. When he fought Joe Louis in 41. The New York Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates were playing in Pittsburgh, a baseball game. During the middle of the game, the Pittsburgh players refused to take the field because the fight was on radio in the dugout. So the game was halted, the broadcast played over the loudspeaker in the stadium and the game was halted for a half hour while a BASEBALL crowd listened to the Billy Conn fight. When he got knocked out all the Pirates came out depressed and when a runner was on first base, Billy Jurges of the Giants quipped that Conn was a bum. The base runner and Jurges then got into a fight on first base because of that
