Thread: Why isn't Wladimir Klitschko vs Ray Austin on sky/ntl or even on pay per view

I'm serious am never subscribing to sky digital ever, it a joke, I Never got to watch any of The World Champion fight of Heavyweight boxing, except fot the Chris Byrd vs Wladimir Klitschko, I saw Wladimir destroy byrd within 7 rounds.
I was really a Fan of Vitali but when he retired, they said the HW division was poor until Wladimir prooved them wrong. But anyway 5 months after Vitali retired, Wladimir prooved himself as the best HW When he become World champion for the second time (after crushing bryd). Please don't say it got to do with the HW division being poor so they don't show wladimir fight in britain but then why did they show chris byrd fight in bitain, he not even a quarter of Wladimir as Wladimir prooven.
I couldn't understand sky spports not showing Wladimir fight and then Sky sports few days ago was showing Danny William vs Scott Grammer live, Scott is not even on danny level as scott was knocked out and danny William is not even ranked in the top 50. So then when you think about it how come Wladimir is ranked no1 by far and people in britain bearly know who he is, but then again everyone in britain know what happened to danny against Vitali Klitschko and that is just because everyone in britain followed danny dream as we all dream that he would become heavyweight champion of the world. To be honest I was very disappointed from this because Lennox by far was the best ever fighter from Britain and retired on such a high and then this danny put britain where it was brofre King Lennox Lewis come, and anyway since I can't watch the no1 Big Boy fight on sky, because sky like spending they time showing danny William, scott grammer fight instead and even worser after scott danny fight sky sports was showing the full fight of 2 old fat men belly dancing.

But after Wladimir become Champion for 2nd time I was looking forward for Wladimir next fight when Wladimir broke Calvin in 7 round.
I was really upset that they never broadcasted this fight anywhere in Britain, but then managed to watch it on youtube the next day, Now I'm really wanting to watch Wladimir next fight and I don't care if they say Ray austin is a soft opponent, Don't people still watch football in britain even though a good team is playing a poor team? Exactly. Wladimir himself said that he want to fight for unification and was upset when he found out that he had to fight Ray Austin instead, Wladimir also said to the media that please put a bit of pressure on the fighter/promoter so we can finally have a Unfication match.
Instead the media will just waste it time cursing the Heavyweight division rather than trying fix the problem. Wladimir is right if the media actually put pressure on the promoter or the fighter that are avoiding the unification matches, then it woud help when asking such question as why are you letting the boxing fan down? How much more are you trying to destroy boxing? One of the other World champion want to fight you, are you gona fight him or duck him?
All these question should be asked while being recorded and then shown on the news (sports) channel, boxing website, youtube video etc. By this public will know who ducking who and who the real deal

Well i feel sorry for u and am surprised that they not showing his fight in britain, am origianlly from britain but at america this current time and me and my buddy are gona watch his fight on hbo, but only american can watch that so

I know what you mean I really get pissed off at the amount of top world championship fights we dont get to see here in the UK. Including just about every heavyweight fight that doesnt involve a brit. Good fights that Id happily pay ppv for and dont even have the option. I dont see how they can justify ignoring any fight thats for a legitimite world title - especially when these fights are taking place in America so the time here would be the early hours of the morning so its not like theres even some other event happening at the same time and sky choose to show that. Instead of showing a live fight they show repeats of any random junk through the night.

Sky don't have that much of a budget, and I imagine a Klitschko carries a heavy premium, they are probably saving all their pennies for Oscar vs Floyd. No one would buy the PPV so the premium for the presentation would most likely outweigh the sales. www.streamtvnow.com is a solution for us brits, not great quality but I use it every fightr weekend, it's great because it's live and relatively cheap.

Why can't Klitschko fight be watched anywhere in Britain

I payed something like £15 for Ricky hatton fight about 5-6 week ago and it was not worth watching at all and the only reason I watched his fight is because I Thought they gonna mention something about Klitschko fight or mention if they will be viewing Klitschko vs Ray Austin fight on box office or anything like that. But No I just wasted my life on that day.
Then couple of day later They show that Ricky hatton fight on Sky sports, why the hell hasn't sky sports shown any highlight of the Heavyweight World title fights. Who the hell is Ricky hatton, he basically lost against Luis Collazo as Luis Collazo was robbed by the judges Ricky hatton couldn't beat a journeyman at welterweight so went back down to light welterweight. So by showing this bum fight and not showing HW world title fight is crazy.

Well if they not showing the Klitschko fight then it honestly doesn't make sense y they show the other fights,
Maybe cos the no1 Britain fighter isn't been ranked in the top 20 sine Lennox Lewis retirement, But then you said they were showing scott grammer full fight live on sky sports alongside with thses other two fat turkey, I knw this because I saw the fight to, Anyways if Danny reading this 'It upto you Danny if you wana retire or not but I believed that you could have become HW champion of the world one day only if you never fought Vitali Klitschko staright away, no offence but I don't think anyone can beat Vitali at it best.
But what I meant danny you should have climbed up the ladder step by step, once you beat Mike Tyson then you should have fought a few world class fighter and then fought for one of the version of the World Title, Not someone like Vitali but someone like Lamon Brewter or even the other title holder, maybe you may have not won but might have put a great show up with may have left you in the position for another title shot. Let just say you did become World champion then you should keep making defences and avoid any Unification match with any of the Klitschko Brother, like these other bums are. But Danny that what I like about you you don't duck nobody and have shown to have one of the biggest hearts in boxing.
But why Klitschko fight isn't being show in Britain just don't make any sense

Then sell it to a terrestrial channel for a smaller fee and then maybe sky would be interested in paying more. And if not then surely any sale is more profitable than no sale. Dont tell me that theres no channel who'd be willing to pay to air this in the UK.

Cos Showtime and HBO obviously ain't too keen on us 'sharing' their PPV's. They leave the site alone as long as they don't go blowing their own trumpet so to speak.
