    Default Hopkins Still Sounds Bitter

Check the video near the top. Sounds to me like he still has not gotten over the losses to Taylor.

    Funny a** video though.

Can't say I blame him. Cause he definitely didn't lose the first time. Second time was questionable, basically because BHop knew he needed a k.o. and he didn't go for it, JT outworked him in the second fight, but there wouldn't have been a second fight if the judges didn't rob him the first time.

The first fight was very competitive and could have gone either way. I had it seven rounds to five for Taylor. Some may have saw it different but Hopkins did nothing at all for the first half of the fight. It's hard for me to say that Hopkins definitely did not lose the fight.

its hopkins own fault really though i reckon. he may have edged the first fight but then he talked loads of shite before the rematch about not leaving it up to the judges to screw him again this time round and blah blah blah. then he just faught the same fight in the rematch and lost a decision again.

    I agree 100%.

I also had it 7-5 for JT in the first fight. I doesn't matter how much more convincingly Hopkins won his rounds. The bottom line is that unless there's a knockdown, someone is badly hurt and in survival mode or someone gets point taken away, you can only get 1 more point than your opponent per round.

Hopkins just wanted to cruise through Taylor like he usually does but he wasn't anticipating JT to be so aggresive. It was clear in both fight that Hopkins wanted no part of mixing it up with Taylor in the early rounds when he wasn't exhausted.

in first taylor vs hopkins fight i thought jermain taylor quite comfortably won 7 rounds out of 8 he was more active and landed more than hopkins but fair play to hopkins he won last 4 easily but still i had it 7 rounds to 5 for taylor hopkins left it too late imo

I agree with that as well.

I think BHop won the first one cause the first several rounds, although JT threw lots of punches he actually landed fewer than BHop. It wasn't EFFECTIVE aggressiveness. But he definitely outworked him and then got tired and then got beat up and was hurt and in tired and in survival mode. But Bhop should have known better for the second fight.

JT landed fewer punches for the whole fight, but he was consistently outlanding Hopkins in the early rounds.
Taylor won seven relatively close rounds, while Hopkins won 4 of his 5 rounds by large margins.
Hopkins gave away 7 of the first 8 rounds. He knows how to add. It's no one's fault but his own that he didn't start fighting until he mathematically needed a KO to win.
