Thread: Is John Duddy Over-Rated??

I will give him a few more fights and then judge him.. But it's not looking to good right now.

fight by fight he is getting exposed but hes exciting for sure

For what was being said about him
I will say hess shown a loat of heart but hes not as good as they made him out tp be.....

A thrills & spills fighter.

A fighter should be judged on his fan base, he is a success in that department.

Agreed...Problem is that he is a spills and thrills fighter against less than mediocre comp...once he gets to the next level he eill get blown out,,,,Nice guy though...who gives it his all

Duddy is a bum and as soon as he picks up the competition and starts fighting fighters who aren't corpses, he will be exposed as such.

As each fight goes by if he keeps looking bad he has a big chance of getting a world title fight against Calzaghe

Duddy is a good fighter, he has alot of heart, and a great chin. I think he is underrated.I dont see anyone making him out to be great..you guys are just a bunch of haters.Hes only 19 fights into a young career, and pretty decent fights if you ask me.....anyone calling him a bum is a idiot(Shadow)

I think it's still too early to make a good judgement on him. If he can improve his defense, he will most definately be trouble for anyone.
Duddy vs. Campas is a prime example of a super exciting fight. let's see what he does for the rest of 2007 before we judge him too much.
