He just seemed to lose it badly after the Tito fight in which he had Tito down in the 4th and thoroughly outboxed .
Any updates on the Golden Man ?
He was falling apart since the Kevin Kelly fight wasnt he? That was before Trinidad got him I thinkOriginally Posted by Swashbuckling Gordy
Ingermans was pretty short, less then 30 fights I think....
James Jeffries had like 20 fights......
Zolani Petelo had like 24 figfhts.....
I never saw the Kevin Kelley fight i remember it was the same month as DLH - Oba Carr it was the 1st time i ever bought Boxing Monthly .Originally Posted by Majesty
Against Tito he boxed lovely and even afterwards still took some massive shots before gannin doon .
Thought he would have come back stronger and better .
Shame.
Blame the guy that beat Margarito (I think Santos was his name) he apparently gave Reid some injury in the amateurs that shortened his career, something with his eyes. Anyone knowOriginally Posted by Swashbuckling Gordy
truly, I never understood how Laurent Boudouani had failed agasint Reid...I guess it was just time for Laurent...
Reid got problems after Tito fight, I think he just turned to reaslise it could be a dangerous sport...he never was the same and got his a$$ beat by journeyman Kirino Garcia...
Kirino GArcia always amazed me. He started his career at 0-18 and went on to win a version of the WBC title and beat some good fighters on the way. That shows anything is possible if you work at it. Gotta respect the guyOriginally Posted by SEB

Kirino is what I like to call a late bloomer if you will...
For those who don't know him take a quick look through his record and see if you notice any good names on his resume....
I'll tell yeah a fighter that was a terrific little buzz saw, WBA Lightweight Champion Orzubek Nazarov, you talk about carrying a punch, this little buzz saw was action packed. Had to end his carrar after only 27 fights due to a detacted retnia he suffered vs Jean Baptiste Mendy.. Wish i could find some footage of this Russian power house to share with everyone. all my VHS collection got ruined in storage ! 26-1-(19 kos)
The name rings a bell for some reason but I just can't either put a face to it or remember a fight of his but it's rining a bell either I've seen, read or something but the Nazarov part rings a bell....Originally Posted by Lords Gym
