It was an amazing fight, better than both of the PBF-Castillo bouts put together. The way they both went to war and never gave up until only one was standing makes that fight legendary. Why you are using that fight to somehow merit PBF I dont know..........

I cant think of anything to say about PBF at the minute as I just watched the Barrera Marquez fight.....I do like his skipping thing he is very impressive

PBF is almost a god when it comes to boxing ability and I respect him for it. Unfortunately for him, he has never had a single fight that will be looked upon as a 'classic' in years to come. I hope he manages it in the ODLH fight, because if anytime is HIS time the ODLH fight is surely it.

If I am not mistaken, PBF did not do enough to win his first fight versus Castillo.

In the rematch PBF beat Castillo fair and square and Castillo somewhere in the 10th said he could not figure Floyds style out and it was just too much for him. Castillo was totally frustrated.

Diego Corrales IMO I never liked him and I never thought he was all that great.
Totally out classed by PBF. Diego knew he was going to the joint and he aint been the same since then. Overated.

Floyd has not beat anyone else since?

    Right?

    Let's take a look.

Victoriano Sosa went 12 and was out boxed by Floyd.
Same guy moved up and was destoyed in 4 by Cotto. Not only was Sosa outboxed by Cotto, he was destroyed and ultimately chased back down to 135 one fight later.

Phillip N'dou. Phillip N' WHO? No one knows who this South African is. Has only been knocked out one other time. Was Ko'ed by Floyd in the 7th. Phillip N'dou moved up the ranks fighting complete nobodys a la Kelly Pavlik opponents with terrible records.

DeMarcus Corley. Not the best fighter out there but a good journeyman. He went 12 with Zab and Floyd but was ultimately beatin down in a sometimes seasaw battle against Cotto.
Ref saved Corley from Cotto's wrath and stopped the fight in 5. Too many knees says you aint fighting. You are trying to survive.

Henry Bruseles. No one knows who he is. Was knocked the puck out by PBF in the 8th.

Arturo Gatti. Old past his prime. Was knocked the puck out by ODLH 6 years ago @ 147. Gatti's face is so tender from all the scar tissue, I could throw buttered pop corn at him and hit him in the face which would cause swelling. Knocked out by PBF in the 6th @ 140.
    W 40 (31 ko's) | L 8 | D 0 | Total 48 bad record and should retire.

Sharmba Mitchell. Old azz southpaw who was destroyed twice by Kostya Tszyu in 2001 and 2004. Looks like Floyd is bottom feeding from Kostya Tszyu's dumpster.

Zab Judah. Destoyed by Kostya Tszyu in under 2 rounds. Went the distance with Floyd. An ok fight. We knew Zab was not all that and his loss against Carlos Manuel Baldomir was confirmation of that fact. Floyd dumpster diving in Kostya Tszyu's bin again.

Carlos Manuel Baldomir. People in Argentina don't even know who he is.
    W 43 (13 ko's) | L 10 | D 6 | Total 59
Old azz soft hitter does not even belong in this sport.
Shows you that when we have people like this holding a title, something is wrong with this division.

So what is your phuking point?

    Your point is?

Floyd aint done shiet since he beat Castillo and Corrales and yet he claims he is better than Sugar Ray Robbinson and Sugar Ray Leonard?

HA HA HA HA HA HA!

    WHAT A JOKE!

I wont deny he is pretty good but his claims are what ruined it.

He can say he is the greatest fighter to ever step into the ring but I know better.

You can defend Floyd by saying that it is not his fault that there were nothing but bums in those divisions etc ..etc. I agree and I say Floyd was lucky. Circumstances of events fighting old people have made him look better than he is.
I have said this once and I will say it again.
Floyd has yet to fight any Sugar Rays, Haglers, Hearns or Durans. But there are some ok fighters waiting for Floyda and one of them is Cotto. Margarito still want's a piece of the Grand Rapids Chicken. How many undefeated fighters has Floyd beat?

Take me Baby i'm yrs ....

floyd might well be up there with the very best he has all the tools but his constant bad mouthing and crap opposition is a real turn off !!

I like watching him honestly but his fights are forgone conclusions before he gets in the ring !!

He's by passed alot of fighters , he should have fought , Casamayor , Hatton,Cotto and Magarito and paid his dues at Lightwelter and Welter instead of fighting utterly washed up figthers .

As for Corrales ? That was 6 or 7 years ago and Diego was completely fucked at the weight

I'd have fancied him in all these fights but he is taking the safety 1st less than sceneic route and thats something Sugar Ray and Roberto Duran never did .... and thats the tooooooth baby.

I know that Floyd is good but come on nearly all the fighters he fought were coming off losses ?

    True ?

    Untrue.

Carlos Baldomir hadn't lost a fight since 1998. And his record doesn't really indicate how good he actually is- many of those matches may well have had the scales already tipped in the other fighter's favor.

Arturo Gatti hadn't lost a match since the wars with Mickey Ward. Say what you want, but he was the champ

Phillip N'dou hadn't lost a fight since 1998. At the time he fought Mayweather he only had one L.

Jose Luis Castillo was 45-4 at the time they first fought in 2002 and hadn't lost since 1998. I will concede that he won the first fight but that's not the issue.

Diego Corrales had a spotless record. It was 6 year ago. It was a dominant performance amongst dominant performances. Since when do we pick apart fights on the basis of how long ago they occurred? Do we suddenly believe that Corrales would stand a chance today?

Don't talk to me about Hatton & Cotto. Talk about two guys with puffed up records. I'm not saying they're nothing but Hatton has 42 wins at 28 years old, suspect on the basis that he's had so many at such a young age. Talk about a record filled with nobodies. You say how Mayweather has ducked this person and that person, 90% of Hatton's resume is comprised of no one you'd ever care to know about. And the same for Cotto. He has been cottled until recent years. Until Carlos Quintana, Miguel Cotto was never put in the ring against anyone his camp legitimately thought had a chance against him and that includes Ricardo Torres. Torres was a whole lot more successful than they intended and guess what? After Cotto beat him they gave Torres a wide berth. Because a Torres who was fully prepared may have been able to put a blemish on Cotto's record.

Both Hatton and Cotto were in attendance at the Gatti-Mayweather bout. No doubt to commentate on PBF's performance, but moreso to get people talking about a potential match-up between them and Mayweather. After the Gatti stomping both of them disappeared. You heard NO commentary from them regarding a fight with PBF. And with good cause, neither man was ready and both were similar enough to Gatti (by how much slower they are and plodding) that they pretty much were looking at the blueprint to their first respective losses.

Well with Sosa & Corley sounds like Cotto's been trash eating himself from Floyds conquests I know you like Cotto and you hate Floyd..

But I think its funny that when Cotto has excuses for not Ko'ing Malignaggi and Urkal like the Flu and Broken hand he is venerated like a Martyr but if Floyd gets hurt he is a pussy and just sucks....

How is Cotto gonna KTFO Mayweather when he couldnt stop Malignaggi and Urkal??(Throwing in the towel for a perceived shafting dosent count either as a legitimate TKO )

Cotto did fracture his hand and was in cast. Floyd CLAIMS that he hurt his hand but did not even go see a nurse or a doctor. Floyd was afraid to mix it up with Baldomir.

Floyd went to a party right after his little biatch fest with the media.

Honestly, Urkal should have been deducted points way before the ref got tired of his BATORAMING.

i have the gatti vs mayweather fight on tape and heard plenty of comentary from both hatton and the preacher man. hatton vs tszyu, cotto vs abduliev , mayweather vs gatti and vivian harris vs mauser were all fights at 140 that happened pretty much back to back over a few weeks.
if i recolect correctly with regard to harris vs mauser hatton said something like 'vivian obviously underestimated mauser because of his poor preperation to the fight and he paid the price by getting knocked out' with regard to cotto vs abduliev hatton quoted something like ' with all of the other champions at 140 lb's fighting in the same week this was a real opportuunity for cotto to show case his talent and make a bit of a statement, but instead he showed no real urgency about his work and eventually disposed of abduliev about 4 rounds to late'. hatton then went on to say that if cotto was gonna continue to fight like that then a fight between the two would be right up ricky's street.
hatton was ringside at the gatti vs mayweather bout and was on live feed to ian darke and jim watt and co with sky and his coments were simply that ' mayweather looked awesome, demonstrated every shot in the book and was very fast,' that was pretty much all he said and then billy graham in the studio and the rest comented on how gatti did pretty much everything wrong. like when he turned to complain to the ref about the punches on the back of his head and then mayweather just caught hiim with a left hook when he wasnt looking. also that gatti wasnt throwing anything and was just standing in range with his legs way too far apart and just getting hit.
so there was comentary mr liquid and i very much doubt that hatton or cotto would keep their mouths shut and retract with fear just because they had witnessed that fight.

Nah man I didnt say he was butting I was regarding his corner feeling like they were getting shafted for all the point deductions and thats why they threw in the towel...

I like Cotto alot but he still needs to be tested against good comp......Cotto dosent even have an opponent as good as Gatti on his resume let alone Baldomir, Castillo, Coralles. etc Judah will be the 1st legitimate test...

I hope he KO'S judah so bad... Cotto is on his way though no doubt

if i recolect correctly with regard to harris vs mauser hatton said something like 'vivian obviously underestimated mauser because of his poor preperation to the fight and he paid the price by getting knocked out' with regard to cotto vs abduliev hatton quoted something like ' with all of the other champions at 140 lb's fighting in the same week this was a real opportuunity for cotto to show case his talent and make a bit of a statement, but instead he showed no real urgency about his work and eventually disposed of abduliev about 4 rounds to late'. hatton then went on to say that if cotto was gonna continue to fight like that then a fight between the two would be right up ricky's street.
hatton was ringside at the gatti vs mayweather bout and was on live feed to ian darke and jim watt and co with sky and his coments were simply that ' mayweather looked awesome, demonstrated every shot in the book and was very fast,' that was pretty much all he said and then billy graham in the studio and the rest comented on how gatti did pretty much everything wrong. like when he turned to complain to the ref about the punches on the back of his head and then mayweather just caught hiim with a left hook when he wasnt looking. also that gatti wasnt throwing anything and was just standing in range with his legs way too far apart and just getting hit.
so there was comentary mr liquid and i very much doubt that hatton or cotto would keep their mouths shut and retract with fear just because they had witnessed that fight.
You know, I read through this twice and I still don't see anything disputing anything I wrote. I'll repeat: after PBF dismantled Gatti you heard nothing from Hatton or Cotto regarding them stepping into the ring with him. And if PBF is such a ducker how come these two managed to avoid one another as well?

How is Cotto gonna KTFO Mayweather when he couldnt stop Malignaggi and Urkal??(Throwing in the towel for a perceived shafting dosent count either as a legitimate TKO )
Cotto did fracture his hand and was in cast. Floyd CLAIMS that he hurt his hand but did not even go see a nurse or a doctor. Floyd was afraid to mix it up with Baldomir.

Floyd went to a party right after his little biatch fest with the media.
    Damn CRYBABY

Nothing wrong with his hand. He claims he lost his knuckle. I can see his knuckle. I would believe him if he said he lost his nuts. I think Tony Margarito has ownership of Floyd's testis.

Percieved shafting? You gonna tell me that Urkal was not headbutting?
You Floyd Fan boys are just as bad as Floyd. Full of lies. It would be as rediculous as me saying that Zab Judah did not low blow Floyd Gayweather.

Honestly, Urkal should have been deducted points way before the ref got tired of his BATORAMING.

Came in dressed like Russell Crowe but fought wearing pink panties and pink gloves like Sheryl Crow.

The man he was afraid to mix it up with.
So old, he needs help to go to the bathroom.
    Carlos Oldamir
I might not agree with your POV but I have to give you a cool click on the Baldomir photoshop. And PBF wore the pink gloves in support of breast cancer research if I'm not mistaken.
    Oops
