Default just watched david haye vs carl thompson

it was almost like wlad vs brewster where thompson made haye punch himself out he was winning easily but he run out of steam i think they threw in towel bit quick to be honest and i dont think they should of put haye in with someone of thompsons class that early even if he is 40

haye is in to a lot of new age training bollocks and no to keen on the good old fashioned blood, sweat and tears aproach of training. therefore he has had stamina issues before and the perfect example is when he burned himself out against carl 'the cat' thompson. but haye was battering him from pillar to post before he got knakared. thompson is a tough SOB.

Yeah Thompson is 'Old School' in every sense and has been around since i was a kid .
He constantly lies about his age too and has been in some cracking and Brutal fights over the year, that loss was good for Haye because he learnt he simply can spark everyone in 1 round.
As for the Stamina issue...he showed good stamina against Fragomeni and finished very well considering he took some hard hard shots and was cut badly.
Is he ready for Mormeck? I like to think so but he is such a fierce body puncher and strong with it and he's no stranger to going the distance.
Maybe Haye's punching power has seen him leap through the rankings too fast and he'll get a spanking at the hands of Mormeck,i did say yesterday that he is capable of doing a number on Mormeck but after seeing the Bell fight im dubious about it now and am siding with Big-H in thinking he'd get hurt pretty badly.
Fair play to Haye though as he's no 'ducker'

I disagree, waiving the white flag came in at the right moment IMO, why risk Haye getting hit with more punches then he needs to?
Theres just no need, the same with Hussy-Hussy when they stopped his bout with Arce.
It boils down to your corner looking out for your best interest certainly loosing the fight hurts your record BUT it doesn't have to hurt your career. Look at how Hayes managed to bounce back. Now hes still the talk of the UK and a handfull of people seem to think hes got a future.... Inlcuding me if he can keep working on his stamina and pick it up on his defense hes as good or better then the rest Tokarev, Enzo, Bell & Mormeck....

I think that was a case of lesson learned, get him out at the first opportunity. Thompson can seriously crack, ask Sebastian Rothman No need to take unnecessary shots.

Mick I think Fenech could have pulled Hussein out after ten seconds. Im no body language expert but his screamed surrender from the opening bell.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

So true, they saw if Haye was capable of being in there with the Thompson at that point in time and they got their answer.
