Default Julio Cesar Chavez Jr V Arturo Gatti

    Question and answers with Chavez

    http://www.fightnews.com/leon22.htm

Even if he gets past a washed up Gatti dont think he will but for a title fight in the hardest division around is a joke all the champions would destroy Chavez in a few rounds he is'nt strong enough. He hasnt even fought any1 anywhere near the top 10 and when he does he will get beat.

Well, there is a reason for that.. He has no amatuer experience, and is very young... So yes, if he fought anyone near the top 10 now he probably would get beat.. But it's not fair to say that WHEN he does he'll get beat, because he has no reason to fight top opposition for quite some time.. I don't know why I hear this so often with regards to young prospects... "Oh, so and so will get beat whenever they fight anyone in the top 10"... Well yeah, if they haven't fought anyone in the top 50 then you'd have to assume that's probably correct... But it doesn't mean a damn thing about what the fighter will accomplish given time, it's all about stepping up the competition gradually, especially with limited amatuer backgrounds. If Amir Khan, Chavez Jr, etc. fight a top 10 opponent next week, they will lose. That does not mean they can't be top 10 fighters someday. It's fairly simple really.

If Gatti has anything left he knocks out Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in 2 rounds or 3.. Julio Sr. would have been an easy win for Julio.

problem with the sons of the great fighters like Julio Cesar Chavez and Thomas Hearns is that they do not have the amatuer experience of thier fathers. Both younger Chavez and Hearns will not even match anything near their fathers. The name will carry them to a title fight maybe and they might win on power but they really are beating up on stiffs and using their name to get publicity. But do not mistake Julio Jr and Ronald Hearns to Julio Sr and Tommy Hearns.

Gatti might actually win this one. As washed up as I might think Gatti is I don't think the "Jr" has half the ability of his old man.
It feels good to be back home.

I have to admit Chavez Jr is just being fed fish right now. But they do pretty much the same with most fighters. Except for trhe top Gold winners or you know fighters like that. Chavez Jr has not impressed me yet either but they are bringing him up slowly he is very young with no real amature record so what do you want them to do put him in the shark tank now?

    Oohh!! sh*t! Rick_Rack
I ain't seen you here since the great depression

Nice to see you back my Mexican brotha'

Am I the only one who noticed Jrs HUGE difference in body size/structure?

Hes really shaping up and getting fit into his body/weight.

And I like that hes starting off in fights more calm and collected instead of right away firing off with head shots and TRYING hard for the KO.

I see a lot of good things for the kid.

I do not think Chavez Jr. should fight Gatti at this point. If Gatti happens to be not as washed up as people think Chavez Jr. might be in for a huge shock.
