Andrade impressed me on two counts, heart and chin.

Kessler was Johnny on the spot from the second round on.

Andrade still has some things to work on to get another shot at any top tier SMW.

Firstly and most importantly, hands up (especially his left one) - It seemed his left was sagging to me through most of the fight or being used for balance, which leads to my next point.

Secondly, Librado needs to work on his stance, he was over-extended in most of what I saw.

Thirdly, he needs to work on straight punches, back to fundamentals on the 1-2's, Kessler was beating him to
the punch not necessarily from being faster, but moreso from throwing straighter.

Summary, Librado still has potential, he is still young and has lost only to a top tier SMW. He has chin and heart which are something special, those are things you can't learn in training camp. Unfortunately it is those things you CAN learn in training camp that he needs to work on.

Kessler impressed me more, he fought a damn near perfect fight for the type of fighter he was facing.

Andrade needs better balance and punch accuracy. His punches were lazy and wide most of the night.

Good for Andrade!
One might also mention that his face didn't show the punishment it took...no blood or swollen...
so yeah ...Andrade = not human ...

cc bro you summed up pretty much everything I was thinking!

I was amazed with some of the punches Andrade stood up to & kept on trying!

Your right Kessler fought an almost perfect fight!!!

I was impressed by Kessler's follow through on his game plan but more what really impressed me was Andrade's resiliense and determination. As anyone would tell you Kelssler fought a smart fight, he kept moving and hitting his targets, and simply he was too fast and moved to much for Andrade to adjust. I'd like to see more of Kessler, especially I'd like to see him take on a fighter that can fight well on the inside, or someone that can follow him. In regards to that fight I gotta say that you only lok as good as your opponent allows.

Andrade has really shown his metal that night and I'd like to see him in more fights and him getting another title shot.

Some of the punches that I saw Andrade get hit with made me cringe, but I was taken back on the way that Andrade took them and kept coming forward.

Andrade is the "Mexican Lamotta". He can take what ever anybody can dish out and keep coming at em.

After the fight he seemed fine, just a little tired from the looks of it but that's it. He also held himself fine. I think during the course of the fight one of HBO's commentators mentioned that Andrade lost nearly all of his amateur bouts, then when he became pro he went undefeated until his run in with Kessler. They said his manager told him that if he wanted to be a champ he'd have to act like one, and Saturday night like any of his others he came in the ring and out of it with the demeanor of a champion.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

Is it not possible that Andrade didnt just fall in love with Kessler and develop Vagina Envy and fantasise that he was a woman tied to the bed with Mikkel handing down a lesson in sweaty Viking Love ?

Nah Gordy, that would be YOUR secret fantasies. Quit projecting them unto other ppl and accept that deep down you love Kessler more than you love Calzaghe.

Andrade had a good chin and who knows he could have a good future at supermiddle the shots he took a lesser fighter would have gone over on a few ocassions Carl Froch should fight him it would help us gauge how good he really is

BUT!!!! Give it up for Librado Andrade

I know he lost...IMO he deserves a round of applause because that guy is TOUGH!!!!

He took some punishment in that fight...I haven't seen a beating like that since Rockey 1 and the guy never caved in....IMO they could have stopped that fight in the 8th or 9th and it would have been a good stoppage even though Andrade was not out on his feet....Only because it is not necessary to allow a fighter to take that much abuse...At the end of the fight he looked to be in good shape and I am glad for that...Too many one sided fights like that one can end a promising career

If Librado Andrade improves his skill a bit he will be a major force in the sport....I mean we already know he has a great chin...

No. Not a great chin. He's got an iron face. Not a mark on him after all those blows. Kessler landed solid shots and Andrade seemed completely indifferent. I expected Kessler to be Kessler, but Andrade... I definitely want to see both of them again.
    Oops

Andrade conducted himself like a man with glue on his feet and was so easy to hit it was a joke.
