Thread: Darchinyan v Pacheco:YOUR THOUGHTS?

I just saw the fight twice....Irene,an inactive,old,fighting once a year Irene was giving Vic nightmares with a basic jab and lateral movement. Had it not been for that break which allowed Vic to get his breath back from the boxing lesson he was getting,,Vic would have lost. No doubt about it. Vic had power and nothing else....His punches were sloppy,wide and telegaraphed and when he is in against a slick boxer,he is going to be exposed big time.

Anyone else seen the fight? What are your thoughts?

Was this the one stopped a while by the fireworks being too loud?

Yes sir. Irene was beating Vic's ass,then some fireworks went off,there was a break for about 10 mins which threw Irene out of his rythm and allowed Vic to get his breath back(he was gaping for breath from Round 6!)

Can't comment cause I ain't seen it....

I did read an article on it (which isn't the same) but it pretty much states the same things you stated El Gamo....

You have to see the fight Mick seriously,Pacheco was schooling Vic. It's a blueprint on how to beat Darchinyan. I don't know why(may be its the way he walks around the ring,like a goose,looking like an idiot#) but I have a severe disliking of Darchinyan!!!Watch it if you can.

CC in 24. I made a post about this a week or so ago because I had never known that Pacheco's name was on Vic's record. I don't so much dislike Vic just as much as I think he's a fun(nny) guy to watch but he will never be any sort of threat to the division's elite.

CC back my man. Have you seen the fight? I think his truly horrible style and the fact that he calls out allll these other fighters without doing much about it annoys me! Even if he beats Arce,I say a slcikster really really teaches him a lesson. Oh and the fact that he thinks he can move up and beat Rafa Marquez when he has not even fought guys like Parra,Sakata,Vazquez etc etc I'd like to see him fight Rafa so he could get KTFO!!!

Is it even a style? He has his elbows out it looks like he's holding a baseball bat. No way he beats Arce imo. And I don't even rate Arce to highly. But Arce destrroys him. I haven't seen the Pacheco fight but I know that Pacheco was a very good fighter so when I came across Vic's name on his record I was taken aback.

Vic won the Pacheco fight fair and square but it's clear to me Vic would've been stopped if not for the break in action.

LMAO,so you have Arce in your sign but you don't rate him? Well,you have to take into account,Pacheco was like 33,he fought once a year for about 3 consecutive years and still he was winning until that dam break! The guy who left off the fireworks should have had 1 inserted up his ass! Arce-Vic would be a great fight,I think Arce overwhelms him but Arce does not use his boxing skills,he will allows Vic to land his power punches,which admittedly,do look very powerful.

I loves me some Arce, but he's not the best fighter out there. Just the most exciting. And Vic wouldn't last 10 minutes with Arce. I really really want to see that one. Haha I don't get how he got past his first 5 fights fighting like that. Whoever Vic's trainer is, he's on drugs.

So the fight was halted due to fireworks going off? That's pretty bizarre. Was it in Vic's backyard by any chance?

Well,if Arce tightens up his D,traps Vic on the ropes and punishes him to the head and body(I have a gut feeling he's weak to the body),he'll win. He'll be inside Darchinyan sweepin,looping shots and Vic CANNOT fight going backwards.

Actually,I think the fight was in America. And wasn't Vic's trainer Jeff Fenech?? I think they have parted ways since though. I'll give it to Vic,he has ALOT of power,that is what has got him this far.

Yeah,I can't remember which round but there was some loud noise, fight was halted,Pacheco had been winning easily,Vic was breathing heavily,mouth open and Irene was beginning to go from boxing,using the jab to sittingdown on his shots more. After the break,which was about 10 mins,Vic was re charged and Pacheco just seemed as if he was thrown out of his rythm.

Yeah,thats my point,it was a lucky break and I'm just using it as evidence that Vic is not some unstoppable monster as he is being made out to be.

Why all the hate against vic. atleast he calls some ppl out and has a go. should be more of it in boxing. and name many boxers who dont talk themselves up.
