    Default Floyd is a...

Selected portions from Media Conference Call:

Oscar De La Hoya: In boxing the punch that hurts the most is the one you can't see. We know he's fast but how fast is he at 154? We'll find out on May 5......People are saying speed is a massive factor in this fight but I think people are going to be surprised by how I can match his speed......I actually never had any contact with Floyd Jr prior to the media tour. I didn't know of him, I didn't know what kind of person he is. I only knew what his father would tell me - he's a bad guy, he hangs round with bad people, he's a little brat and he needs to be taught a lesson. I didn't think he was that bad but once I got on the media tour I could understand what he meant......I truly feel that he needs a humbling experience. He really is a little brat. Just the way he comes across. It's very arrogant."

.. Who do you expect to care about this? Sure, Floyd is a little brat, noone likes him outside of a boxing ring, why bring this up. De la Hoya is really no better though, he's as phony as a three dollar bill and doesn't have a shred of charisma in him. The guy has 0 personality. Neither of these guys possess anything to like about them outside the ring as people, imo.

1st of all Oscar is just trying to build up even more buzz my making it seem like he actually hates Floyd...after the fight...they both will be hugging.
2.Floyd donates to charity,he held a boxing mini-camp last july, and he is either at the gym or at home with his family. What a terrible guy!
3.As for Oscar....just do some research on his past involving drugs,family,etc...

    As usual...wack-ass points.

Floyd beat him to the punch with the "brat statement"...you missed that one I assume?

“Oscar is a brat,” Mayweather spat. “He’s greedy, he’s ungrateful and he’s a phoney. Everyone knows that. (Golden Boy Promotions CEO) Richard Schaefer can talk about Oscar is the biggest and best star in boxing but that’s sh*t. Muhammad Ali was the biggest star in boxing, Mike Tyson the biggest grossing and Floyd Mayweather is the best. Oscar is nothing.”

    Your'e a brat...no your'e a brat...no you are...no you!

    It's all getting a bit to...Danny G for me.

In that he never has anything to say... Im not denying the guy fights the best, and he does nothing to take away from the sport... But he certainly doesn't have any character or personality to speak of, at least not that is real and candid. Most athletes should be seen and not heard, that was all I was saying.. And it is especially true with these two stiffs.

I don't pay much attention to people. Leonard was a cocky bastard, and yet people thought he was the class act of them all, and the same goes for Dela Hoya.

Difference is Golden Boy has paid his dues in the ring by fighting the best !!!

Mayweather is content to snack on leftovers from the late 90s !!!

Mayweather has not fought a hot fighter since Corrales .

Whereas ODLH fought Ruelas, Quartey , Chavez ,Tito , Vargas and Hopkins amongst many more .

Mayweather managed to spend the last few years avoiding Cotto ,Hatton ,Casamayor and Magarito and remember folks he's on HBO if he wanted these fights they would have happpened .

You could be sure that The Golden Boy would have fought these fighters instead of making do with Gatti , Mittchell , Baldomir, Corley and Bruessuls .

Mayweathers Resume stinks to high heaven and he doesnt deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as Oscar .

I used to think so to but the more I look at DLH and the more I deal with Golden Boy on a business manner I am inclined to go with P4P on this one
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!

You are trying to compare Cotto and Margo to people like Chavez,tito,Hopkins...what are you smoking?
    He plans to fight Hatton....
    Corley almost KO'd Cotto.
Baldo beat Zab(a guy who cotto is gonna fight) and Gatti...and was considered the true welterweight champ.Once again another forum boxing expert.

Danny G I like you as a poster but your hatred for PBF has gone over board. I have never seen one fan of the sport hate one particular boxer so strongly not even with me and Oscar De La Hoya

I almost feel like I'm making charitable donations to a huge investment bank when I CC you Wacko, but this one's undeniable (that's #2757). Danny is on a huge PBF-hating high in the aftermath of Margarito actually taking his mandatory against Williams.
