At this rate Oscar might fight Calzaghe in future

10.5lbs with 30 days to go shows excellent preparation for oscar, looks like it'll be an easy cut. Thats way within normal limits for Oscar.

I hope so and i also hope that he doesn't get weight drained.

YOu probably have more to lose than him to begin with. It depend doesn't ODLH already have abs, and the rest. He will be losing some water weight for the fight guarranteed which could be 5 pounds so he needs to lose 5 more pounds naturally, and the rest water which isn't all that bad.

With a diuretic you can loose ten pounds in a week. Not that he'll need to go that route.

De La Hoya is in a perfect position right now.

Which isint very smart on Delahoya's part... I dont know what his frame will look like but he better have his conditioning down, I dont see Floyd getting much heavier than what he is now so he will still enjoy an overwhelming advantage in the speed and elusiveness category.. Bulling Floyd and trying to corner him is useless he just gets out of it and then counterpunches

Oscar's weight is very normal, believe me I thought he'd have to cut to meet the 30 day limit, he's clearly under which is a sign thats what he's weighing without a sweat.

he's fit though, saw a picture of him weighing in with no shirt and he looks just as ripped as he did going into the Mayorga fight, i think he'll be 100% come May 5th, and right on weight without any side effects

Just to play devil's advocate... what if Oscar has already burned off the water and has nothing but fat to burn off. Oscar's settled into family life, got the new home in PR, it's gotta be more difficult to drag himself away from all that. Remember, when he steps in the ring it will have been a year and a day since he last fought a guy who isn't even on par with a sparring partner. And his last significant win was in 2002 against Vargas. Is ODLH really interested in this fight other than from a businessman's standpoint?

For those that are asking about ODLH weight hes right on track, 10.5 lbs. in 30 days is right on.....
He doesn't wan't to over train or drain himself to low at the moment within the next few weeks he would have cut that down to to about a quarter and come in on weigh in day right at 154....
