Default Please god - somebody knock Pacman out...

Pac looked average today I thought against an overmatched opponent.

His style is terrible, he lunges in with the head and his balance looks awful at times. The only thing that saves him is his incredible handspeed and devastating power.

Maybe I'm just pissed off. Every time he fights the bar I watch boxing at is overrun by Pacman fans who are F****** MUPPETS that know nothing about boxing and hoot and holler wildly while Pac destroys people. These people are never at any other fight cards, just when Pacman fights. They are not boxing fans, they are groupies.

    Goddamn I'm bitter.

But seriously the sooner someone knocks Pac on his a** and keeps him there the happier I'll be...

Pac's already been KO'ed twice, earlier in his career. I think Pac's biggest problem is that he is stretching himself to thin. He is trying to be a politician, a boxer, a recording artist along with carrying the hopes of a nation on his back. That is a lot to live up to and I think it would be better for him if he picked one thing instead of doing it all.

And I think people should give Jorge Solis some credit, Solis' style gave Pacquiao fits. But once he figured it out and Solis camp ran out of ideas for different things to do in the ring he got knocked out.

People need to remember styles make fights. Some fighters style just make fights difficult. Think of Joel Casamayor, Zahir Raheem, Fres Oquendo, and Cory Spinks; how many exciting fighters have they made look average because of their style.

One of the stoppages was a low blow that was called a ' body shot' by the referee

I didn't know that. If the video shows that conclusion, why hasn't anyone from Pacquiao's camp petition for a "decision change." I mean that is the same thing that is likely to happen in the Judah vs. Gaven fight., just the other way around.

Pacquiao was knocked down and out with a low blow. Replays of the local TV showed several times the shot to the groin.

I can see your frustration, however Pac is holding the entire PI on his shoulders, a modern day hero, lord knows he has done good by what he is doing in boxing, and it is good for the PI to be able to embrace something other than the BS that is going on in that country.

On any given day, any given boxer will be able to knock the other out, as of right now, that day has not come for Pac since early on in his career. I don't count the low-blow a KO in my book, although I'm not the one that get's paid to make that decision either.

We all have our fighters that we like/dislike. But we can not take away the fact that at the final bell, or stoppage, the better boxer has won.

And you may be correct, however I am not a fan of promoter/boxer. Bugs me just like a player/coach in baseball. To me once you hang 'em up, then stay out and do what you are now doing. Just my opinion.

i give it up to cats like pac man obvious reasons(doesnt duck anyone, got the best resume currently in the game, exciting as hell each fight, blah blah the list goes on and on)

Cotto: fights like every freakin couple months! same thing hes exciting, learns to speak english, carries himself gracefully.

thats why these 2 guys are keeping boxing alive!

not only fighting once or twice a year

Pretty tough on Solis i think who did a great job! His style as awkward for Pacman.
Not every fighter is going to have a great day at the office, just ask Jorge Arce!!
