    Default british welterweights

There is now no challange 4 mick jennings at welter-weight, mutley seems to have gone in hiding since he was stoped by anderson, boxing only once in a 6 rounder in italy! And he also seems to noe know that jennings had a bad day at the office in that one, winning the wbu title since. i firmly belive that jennings is the best in europe at 10st 7lb, and needs to go 4 bigger fights soon.

Welcome to Saddos heres Cool Click #1 on me...

I agree Jennings is the best of the lot, Anderson & Doherty are just a few steps behind though Doherty hasn't really fought some tough opposition yet hes moving along just fine. I still can't believe Anderson lost to Nuumbembe. I thought Anderson would walk away with a win.

And about Jennings taking a big fight I agree he needs to hes gonna hit the 30 yr. old mark and fights don't get any easier as you age.

Ross didn't he just get KO'ed in March. To me that would be a step back and not forward.
Bonsu would be a good fight for him but I think Trabants standing in line for his shot at Bonsu.

CC Dez i told you this was a good boxing site ( good at spreading the saddo faith guys ) As i was saying on myspace i did agree with you that he needs to go after the Euro title but if its not an imediate thing i think he should go and fight minter and back up that good win against Tak!

yeah minter is coming off a ko loss to freddy curriel on the contender v sportsnetwork bill. it would be a big step back 4 him, but i found out that mick is the number 2 contender in the wbo world rankings behind paul williams.

dnt know tam, i thin its a step in the wrong direction, he isnt going to move up the world rankings by beating somebody bellow him, and he needs to move on in his carrer now.

What if he Jennings fought Urkal?
I mean I know Urkals coming off a loss BUT Urkal is a prominent name and holds some credential there.
Or maybe he could face that Ukrainian guy Yuriy Nuzhnenko hes racked up a more then decent record.

But if there is nobody else wouldnt it be a good fight to assurt his British welterweight rank? Minter is a pretty big name ( cos of daddy) and i suppose if there wasnt anything else on the cards a 10 rounder with him would be good ? i would really like him to rematch Muttley, although it wont happen. If margarito is his aim maybe a big american name if he can pull it off?

I think Urkal would be a good name yano, see how he looks against a world title contender, i admit Micks getting old but he looks hungry and i think hes workrate and speed would see him off safely.

You see that fight? I thought it was pretty damn good for contender crap. Curiel showed a lot of heart, and was busted up, but pulled off the knock out win. It was crazy.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Yeah a fight with oktay yrkal would be a good, scrap he didnt do bad against cotto. i think a fight down the line could be against joshua clotty, he was unlucky against margrito, i think he might have won had it not been 4 his hand going in the first. good win over corrales, i know corrales was having his first fight at the wight tho, would be a good insite as to weather he has the tools to beat antonio margrito.

I think clotty will have a lot to do at 147 and a fight with mick at this stage wouldnt push him in the right direction. But who knows if Mick shows that the loss was a one off he could be a major player in the 147 devison, he needs a big fight by the end of the year or early next year i think.

I think your right tam, he does need a big fight, i remember mick once in an interview on the radio this was like 2 years ago, he had just beaten jimmy vincent 4 the british title, and he said he wanted a shot at the euro then, then he wanted a shot 4 wbo. I think the muttley loss has made him beta fighter, and he def ready 4 euro shot, i think he might b boxing again in july. I asked him the other day if he had heard about an opponent and he said he might find out on monday when he goes back to the gym

He certainly looked really up for the last for against TAK! you could see the desire in his eyes and that payed off by the workrate. If mick loses again though i think it would certainly be a disaster and i couldnt see a recoverment and i think he knows that too. So if he gets a big fight i think we will see an even better Mick and that will be impressive. Keep us posted on what he says though it will be good to hear.
