no one is unbeatable. all it takes is a good punck or kick or a mistake. Fedor is great but not unbeatable.

fedor will not lose to anyone in the world!!!

not anyone who is well known at this point at least

the one really good guy he hasnt fought yet is josh barnett, thats probably the guy with the best chance of beating him right now

well, according to that one idiot on this site, Pride fighters suck, so as soon as he comes to the UFC he's done.

Fedor could be beaten but who I dont know. The only real scare he's had is Fujita landing a bomb , but fedor shortly KO'd him afterward. There really isn't anyone who can fight him on the ground. Both Randleman and Coleman are stronger and better wrestlers and were able to somewhat control the fight but both ended up getting subbed. Fedor's GNP is awesome and his subs are second only to Nogs. But its more than that he has such a seamless and lighting quick transition that he is always a step ahead. I think the only chance anyone has is to have a great take down defense, great striking and a awesome chin. Fedor's stand up isn't really a product of great technique. His punching is sloppy but he does have lighting fast hands and packs alot of power. He is able to overwhelm opponents. Whoever beats Fedor better plan on 5 long rounds of hell(if its in the UFC). I'll be honest w/ the way Randy looked against Sylvia he is the only guy out there right now that I think could give him a good fight. Maybe barnett and maybe Big Nog's w/ his improved standup. No one really has the combination of good punching/movement, takedown defense and chin to make the fight a marathon.

na, he has a loss buts it was from a cut, he was beating the shit outta some guy and he got cut and they stopped it, every other fight was a win

I think the only way Fedor loses is from the new unified rules the UFC is imposing, having recently bought pride.
Reason being, Pride never had elbows on the ground. There are now, with the new rules.
Fedor seems to cut easily. so that person that can take him down and have top positioning while throwing elbows will win.
Although it will be b/c the ringside Dr. stops the bought due to the cut. Not b/c Fedor submits or gets KO'd.

Mark Hunt was BEATING him soundly...manhandling him...until fedor caught him with a kimura.

I dont' think I'd agree w/ Hunt beating him soundly. I could see someone saying that he was controlling the fight, but hardly soundly beating him. Fedor took him down at the beginning and almost locked in an arm bar. Hunt controlled most of the middle of the round and had several close sub attempts of his own. Had the round ended before the sub( i think there was like 10 seconds left) I'd have scored it even.

Hunt was NOT beating him. I will say Hunt put up the best fight out of everyone else that has fought Fedor. However, look at their interviews afterwards and Hunt even says that he feels he lost due to his inexperience whereas Fedor is very calm in his interview and says he was in control of everything that was going on. BTW...about that arm bar attempt from Hunt...Fedor says that it was bad technique from Hunt because it wasnt doing anything but we all know what happened when Fedor tried armbar on Hunt...we all remember that scream. Good fight from Hunt and can't take away anything from him but Fedor is a better fighter. Has nothing to do with who can beat him or can't.

Will he lose? most probably yes. However, that is a stupid thing to be clinging on to and bringing up anytime someone else praises Fedor. Everyone knows its a cycle...winners eventually lose to newcomers who later lose to other newcomers...blah blah blah. No one is being any smarter by bringing this up every single time.

A pretty old topic, I think there's a fairly recent thread about the same thing too.

From the Fedor everyone has seen no one has the tools to beat him. It will take a mistake by him or a fabulous performance from someone else for him to lose. Its MMA though, anything goes, he could get KO'd by a nobody in his next fight. Being the most dominant heavyweight of all MMA with no hard losses he'll be the favored fighter in any fight.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict he won't lose until either age catches up with him, someone gets a lucky KO in a fight that he was dominating, or its something he can't help.(cut, N/C, ect.)

For the record, Fedor's "loss" was due to a cut from pretty much the first punch thrown. He later rematched the guy and DEMOLISHED him. It was just a freak accident.

That being said, should Fedor come to the UFC, look for him to lose. He just cuts so easily, and elbows are pretty much DESIGNED to cut. That doesn't take anything from his being the best heavyweight, or hell, the best, period, that the sport has seen. But he WILL lose in the UFC, I can pretty much guarantee it.

I hate to say it, but I think someone who COULD beat him would be Tito. Tito actually is a pretty rough customer. He has good wrestling, and EXCELS at elbows from the full/half guard. That would put Fedor in a bad spot. Not to mention, Tito actually does have a good chin, even in his KO loss against Chuck, he wasn't out by a long shot, he was just kind of overwhelmed. The ref COULD have let it go on, and it probably wouldn't have went well for Tito, but he could have survived.

As far as the fight vs. Hunt, Hunt KNOWS he isn't a great grappler (although he has actually shown some pretty impressive improvement....it's just hard to look good when you're fighting the best guy in the world), hence his interview. If he DID have more grappling experience, Fedor could have been done for. He did all that as a sub par grappler...imagine if he had the skills? As far as the scream goes, I think it was more out of frustration than anything :P

Tito could beat Fedor if he could get a quick takedown and start throwing some elbows, but Fedor is bigger than Tito's normal opponents. Not to mention Tito has developed a bad habit of freezing and covering up in the pocket when people throw combos at him. Not a good gameplan against a striker like Fedor.

Good point though, anyone that can throw some mean elbows could beat Fedor lamely with a cut in UFC, where in PRIDE it isn't allowed. But a wins a win I guess.

Speaking of which I kinda think that is part of the reason why Cro Cop lost to Gonzaga so badly. He did look quite flustered after getting elbowed in the face a whole bunch. Thats what happens when you don't train in a cage or train against elbows Mr. Cop.
