Problem for Mayweather is that he has to win this fight. This is the best guy he has fought so far and if he loses that almost shows his level. Good enough to beat most contenders, but not in the upper echelon. So if he loses he will have the normal excuses fighters have when they lose. It is rare to get a fighter who gets beat and he says "the other guys was better, no excuses" . But usually you get the " I didn't mention this before but I hurt my hand in training" I am a great Tommy Hearns fan and think he is a great all time great fighter, but his hand injury was legit in affecting his fight with Marvin, but the leg message excuse to me was not enough for me to say that was a legit reason. I am not sure why they even mentioned that one. If they have had 41 fights to that point in his career, and then on the night of the fight they let some guy message his leg, then they should live with the fact that Tommy had weak legs for the fight. That was not smart to let anyone near your fighter that close to a big fight when they can feed the fighter something wrong or anything. so the excuse thing is something which all great fighters do since they are not used to losing so they need a save face excuse. I suspect if Floyd loses he will say something was wrong in training. If Oscar loses he will say his time might be up.. Which is a pretty good excuse.
