    Default heavyweight haye

So david haye beat bonin in the first on his heavyweight debut, Does this win say that haye could make it all the way at crusier and heavy? And what does it say for harrison who took 9 rounds to beat bonin and was losing on points at the time of the stoppage?

Haye is a quick heavyweight with a KO punch. I think hes getting a bit carried away by this win and if hes serious about the heavyweight division he should forget about cruiserweight and stay a heavyweight.

Yeah maybe, but i still think he should get in with enzo maccareneli before its to late, there both in there prime, and haye is in the top ten with the wbo so the fight could happen.

no way mate. the guy is the number one contender at cruiser and he shouldnt pass on the opportunity of becoming the champ. plus if he is already a world champion is would put him in a better position with regard to getting a title shot at heavyweight in the near future rather than years down the line. would love to see him and enzo get it on though. i was gutted when that fight fell through, haye even had things on his myspace page about the fight.

Being a cruiserweight world champ means nothing. Haye looked solid and he'd bulked up for the bonin fight. Getting back down to cruiserweight could be a struggle and if a weight weakened Haye gets chinned he has nowhere to go.

From what Ive read so far David didnt actually have to do much bulking up to make heavyweight, it was more a case of not having to lose the natural weight he usually has to to make cruiser. Once he makes a permanent step up to heavy without the worry of knowing he'll have to make cruiser again who knows how much better he'll be.
