Miranda kind of reminds me of a Carlos mayorga style fighter. He is really unorthadoxed. Throws looping over head punches. You throw alot of looping punches against a boxer......not a fighter like Miranda but a boxer like Pavlik your chances of getting caught on the chin is pretty good. Pavlik is a great example because he throws strait hands. Miranda throws those loopers he is going to leave his face out over the ring. Not a good idea, exspeaiclally since he is fighting a guy who punches just as hard if not harder. I'm not sold on Miranda's power yet. He got beat to the cards by a great fighter who already had a cracked jaw. Whats that all about. And another thing. The United States of America is your sovereign. Your home team if you will. So if you don't root for your home team on this one, then get the hell out of the stadium.

Yeah Miranda does punch wild but it's not like Mayorga because Mayorga throws wild from everywhere. He can be 10 feet on the outside and lunge in with a wild shot. Miranda is a bit more disciplined and does his punching on the outside. Pavlik is going to have to create distance and then fire off.

Anyways, Miranda does a whole hell of a lot of talking but honestly, he hasn't done much in the way of it. I mean, we hear so much about his power, but really the only guy he has sparked is Willie Gibbs. Abraham had a cracked jaw and didn't go down.

I like the guy though he is a spark plug. And he is charismatic if nothing else but he talks a real big game, and I don't know he has the skills to follow up on them.

Also, Jermain Taylor is not running from Edison Miranda. I think it's fairly obvious Taylor runs from nobody. Everybody expected him to run from Wright and he didn't. He took a bit of a safe fight in Ouma, and then the money fight with Mora. No problem there, that resume is a hell of a lot better then Miranda's. And if Miranda beats Pavlik, which he should be required to do, then he gets his shot no questions asked. What is wrong with that?

Edison Miranda is a power puncher but he isn't a fighter who has an inside part of his game all his shots he will bring from the outside on you. He would be troubled by someone like Jermain taylor who has a better fighting style and ability on the outside, Miranda would have to get inside to get to Jermain Taylor and Edison Miranda isn't that kind of fighter.

I disagree completely. He opens up a bit more as the fight goes on but he stays in his shell for the most part on the outside. But he definitely is a midrange - inside fighter imo.

I disagree with you there. I don't think he's an inside fighter at all, I think when he's inside he loops his shots and most of his straight shots come from the outside. I don't think he' an inside fighter by any stretch. But I like Miranda and it shouldnt matter against Pavlik, because Pavlik likes to stay in the pocket too(when he has an even worse inside game from what his last fight showed) he handcuffs himsellf by putting the earmuffs on and attacking with hooks, I expect Miranda to catch him in the middle of one of those swings and knock him out

The Panther is geting over exposed. I suggest he beat Pavlik before we induct him onto the Hall. STFU and just fight.
