    Tito open to Oscar rematch!

    Tuesday, May 8 2007
    http://www.fightnews.com/fightnews_2...ABORaNJoa.html

Puerto Rican superstar Felix Trinidad says he's content in retirement, but would be willing to grant a rematch to Oscar De La Hoya. "De La Hoya knows I can't go any lower than 160 pounds," Tito told Primera Hora. "That would be sacrificing too much and I can't do it. But I am going to tell the truth, it is something that is latent. It is still there. Everything depends on Oscar, that he accepts the weight that I've always told him at 160 and the conditions." Trinidad also stated that if he returns to boxing, it would be with his father and the promoter would be Don King, not Golden Boy Promotions.

This is priceless! I told the fellars sitting with me that this would be Oscar's next fight instead of a Floyd rematch.

    Watch & see.

Tito is in no position to dictate terms...not after Wright humiliated him.

Also...Don King would be the monkey wrench that bucks this rematch.

Surely Oscar would jump at the chance?

I don't see it happening though.

LOL... you beat me to it. I just started a threat on this myself.

As I said there. It might happen now because DLH wants to go out with a big win and avanging his loss to Tito would give him that.

Again, they start talking about this. This time I won't get fired up. I'm tired of them getting me excited about it and then nothing happens.

Words from Tito..."De La Hoya knows I can't go any lower than 160 pounds," Tito told Primera Hora. "That would be sacrificing too much and I can't do it. But I am going to tell the truth, it is something that is latent. It is still there. Everything depends on Oscar, that he accepts the weight that I've always told him at 160 and the conditions."

He also said that it has o be with Don King Promotions and not Golden Boy Promotions? What difference does it make??

What do you guys think? Will this ever happen? Maybe it will after last Saturday. DLH wants to go out with a big win and avenging his loss to Tito would certainly give him that.

I wouldnt say that wright humiliated tito atall...

When you get beat fair and square by a guy like winky wright.. Thats just life.. Winky is that good a fighter..

I hope the rematch happens.. I dont think oscar would move in the same way..and if he fought like he did against mayweather.. Footwork wise etc..I can see it bieng an extremely entertaining fight..

Im not certain about many terms..But it is fair if he says i cant make less then 160..if he cant then he cant..

And i am concerned about the don king aspect... I know don got felix the big fights which took him to the top and felix sr has always dealt with don.. But i highly doubt that Oscar will deal with don and that will be the downfall in the negotiations..

Yeahh i must have forgotten the fact that winky wright is crap and that he was clowning tito all night

Lol.. You cannot be humiliated by winky wright.. Winky can and probably will never be thought of as that much of an underdog to make it so..

He was outclassed in that particular fight.. Not as a whole in career terms and tito was still a genuine challenge to winky.. But stylewise winky is far to perfect matched against tito..

I understand where both of you are coming from with this argument. It is an old saying but Styles Make Fights.

The fact is that a straight puncher like Trinidad would probably never beat a Winky Wright.

Looping puncher like Vargas gave Wright all that he could handle and convinced the judges that he beat Wright.

Give Wright credit though, he made it look easy against Tito. He also beat Mously and drew JT who have excactly the right style to beat Wright but they couldn't do it.

I wanted Wright to win the fight, But I felt he was lucky to get the draw against Taylor.

I dunno bout that, Taylor is a very good fighter. You have to be to draw with Wink and beat B-Hop twice.

In my dreams... I see Tito firing his dad as trainer and getting Emanuel Stewerd. He fights DLH who is not gonna be able to fight like he did last time and will try and trade with Tito. Tito's power is too great and DLH falls to a crushing left hook to the body and starts hitting the mat until the ref counts to ten and then gets up smiling and adds Tito to his Golden Boy Promotions Entourage.

Tito decides that he's still got it and challenges Taylor. Taylor accepts in order to get another past his prime big name on his reccord. He totally underestimates Tito's power and gives him a free swing like Mayorga did. Tito knocks him out with one huge left hook in the first round

PBF gets sick of all the publicity Tito is now getting. He gets on the phone with Golden Boy Promotions, of which Tito is now a member, and set up a fight in 160 so that PBF can tie DLH in weight class tittles. The fight is build as "The World Awaits for the Fight of the Millennium" It breaks all reccords and makes 200Million.

PBF totally dominates Tito for exactly 11 rounds, 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Emanuel is yelling from the corner "Remember he has a great armature background". Papa Trinidad is in the stands screaming "Your winning son". Floyd then decided Tito has nothing left and tries to knock him out. Tito's great stamina allows him to make one last stand and he wobbles Floyd. As he is backed into a corner Tito starts throwing big bombs and after twelve straight misses he finally connects one promting the referee to stop the fight with 1 second left in the clock.

Well...a man can dream can he not.
