Of all the super fights youve seen, if there was one you could pick out as the only one you could see again which one would it be. After thinking for some time, mine would be The thriller in Manila that surprised me picking that does yours surprise you

Muhammad Ali -Joe Frazier March 1971.. a great day in boxing.. I loved watching "the mouth" (Ali) eat the canvas !

I enjoyed watching him get up mate, long story all to do with a journalist at the time called Peter Wilson cunt.

So am I that fight just about Ali it was about Frazier to. Both went there that night the place few go.

I just love the whole build up to it and the 2 bands playing one playing Mexican music the other band playing PR music, then the stare down is IMO one of the best ever....
They both smile/grin at eachother cause they both knew what was about to go down.

It was the swinging 60s in England, different political climate Lords. Ali in England was looked up to by the people his age and was thought hard done by. But this Peter Wilson who I knew was always calling him a coward, that nite he proved he wasnt but Peter Wilson was still a cunt.

Hagler-Duran, Hagler-Hearns, Corrales-Castillo I were all great for me and I could watch them all many, many times over...but the one fight for me is Douglas-Tyson....I was in the ring with "Buster" (abiet for only 20 seconds or so). The fighter from my hometown made good and beat the "IRON MAN". I could watch that every day....

Brother that is like telling me to go to a buffet and telling me to only eat one thing.

Ali was a lot of things, a coward he was not. to step in the ring as you know, takes a tremendous amount of fortitude . this guy Wilson hasn’t a clue obviously. cc
