Default Floyds Win boxing has become a joke

Im sorry but more than ever to me boxing has become a joke, I saw the fight and while I have no problem with floyd winning I thought if he did win he barely did it, saw some guy on fsn say he had floyd winning the fight oscar won at the most 2 rounds? Give me a break boxing is so depereate to create a so called new star (which may be retiring) that it has become laughable. Floyd didnt do a whole hell of a alot oscar blocked much of what he threw and without a doubt took the early rounds. I have to admit commentaors in boxing are dreadful, mma at least is viewed on common ground, at what point the announcer says oscar is blocking those shots but how do you score that, you dont you dumb #$$#@$$ it has to land to be scored

In my opinion if oscar was throwing shots for the best part of the round.. and controlling the action..
Even if they were blocked..and even if floyd throws less punches and they land..
I would score it for oscar because he was busier and pressing the action..

If your scoring on clean blows..Then thats amatuer boxing..

MMA is the same way, especially in the UFC. They give gift decisions to the fighters with the big contracts, just so they don't have to pay another guy alot of money. And their commentators are biased too. With maybe the exception of Joe Rogan.

I never said he dominated. I had it 116-112, or 115-113. That's not a domination, that's just a win. I feel the opposite about Floyd's power, because I thought there was no way in hell he could dent Oscar, but he nailed him a few times, and I was suprised. He may not KO everyone at 154, but he can hurt some people.

Oscar wasn't just fading, Floyd was taking it from him. Maybe you should just stick with MMA my friend. Because you already stated how much you dislike boxing.

I don't usually resort to personal insults toward chatters, but anyone that thinks Oscar beat Floyd that night is just a moran. Plain and simple, no if's ands or buts.

You rooted against Oscar in every single fight he was in... but you're not a hater?

Does that not make sense to anyone else besides me?

Anyhow in my view Floyd won that fight 8 rounds to 4. De La Hoya was busier, but landed very few effective blows. Floyd outlanded oscar, and for the most part controlled the pace of the fight. I'm sorry but if a guy is pot shotting you with jabs, left hooks and straight rights for 3/4ths of the round, and you throw a few flashy 6-10 punch flurries with only 1 or 2 punches landing clean, you aint getting the round on my scorecard. I scored it EXACTLY how Harold Lederman scored it.

what i don't get is how...the bigger man should get credit for being more aggressive...and floyd doesn't get credit for standing in the pocket catching and countering alot of his shots...weird..

let's penalize the smaller guy for avoiding punches from the bigger man, and give credit to the bigger man for being the aggressor..that's fucking stupid...

well to tell you the truth i was going for Oscar. I even had a bet on him but i lost fair and square. PBF won the fight. No doubt that he won. True that Oscar blocked ALOT of punches thrown by PBF but Oscar didn't do much either. he would chase Floyd around the ring for a good 2 minutes or so and then have one good flurry per round. He didn't do enough in my opinion to beat Floyd! Sad really but thats the way it goes.

    Rogan is an idiot!

As for gift decisions they'd happen no matter what, even in football (Stanford-Cal game amongst others) and other sports there are questionable calls that affect the outcome of the game.

I watched the first 6 rounds really close and a case could be made that Oscar won 4 of those rounds alone....it was just a really close fight
