I thought Miranda vs Pavlik would be close but Pavlik dominated and Spinks giving Taylor all he could handle wow what a strange night of boxing anyone else agree ??

all you can think what next for these fighters

pavlik dsrves a title shot against taylor

miranda still fight good boxers or fight for his confidence

taylor keep fighting jr. middleweights or fight calzaghe or winky

spinks spinks stay in middleweight where ther is bigger fights for him

this night was wierd i had 10$ dollars on taylor so it was all right

had a feeling all along this kind of night would happen

CC bro...that was a gamblers' result...I'd but £4 on Taylor to win on points, so I was pretty pleased to see that result come through. Damn weird night though, I agree.

A couple things I took from the fights:

1. Well I guess fighters really were ducking Kelly Pavlik

2. Jermain Taylor never seems to have the right approach for any of his opponents but he still wins....maybe as he gets more seasoned he'll get better but I've said that for a couple years now.

3. Edison Miranda isn't proving anything to anyone by trying to stop right crosses with his face

4. I think Kelly Pavlik could give Joe Calzaghe a run for his money

Eggs-zackree. Pavlik's a hell of a fighter that has struggled for the better part of 3 years trying to land a credible name opponent.

What's most impressive about Pavlik that no one seems to touch on is his reserve. His composure while being hammered. The kid is always ALWAYS calm.

Taylor's quality has fallen & his faults are now front & center. Steward was livid last night for the duration. Taylor will go down in his next few matches...let him fight Calzaghe & watch utter domination.

I hope that last night's match up entices everyone to search out the Miranda vs Abraham match. Edison lost that one a lot easier than most people want to admit & Abraham's quality was front & center for that one.

I like Pavlik...but he's way to open to beat Calzaghe. He knows that, I'm sure.

I'd love to see Pavlik fight Taylor & win & then go on to prove his worth in the division.

...but honestly...I disagree Big Rag. You know Wacko hates to...but he do.

Joe'd own Kelly just like he'll own Taylor. I honestly believe that he'd be more competitive than Taylor would though.

It's amazing to me that with each match up...everyone rips Joe apart until he comes through with the win. Why is that? Joe's a great champion & a hell of a fighter & he's a fantastic ambassador of the sport.

He was fantastic & a total gent on ESPN.

I was shocked how Pavlik handled Miranda, but with Taylor and Spinks? Not really. I thought that might be a boring fight.. I did not expect people to be saying Spinks won. Not after watching the fight and seeing Taylor control it with his counter right.

I really honestly can't understand the shock that Pavlik beat Miranda. Apart from having a big punch Miranda has never looked imprressive imo. He couldn't finish a guy whose jaw was barely still attached to his face. He looked completely out of ideas against Allan Green, and remember Green floored him with about the only punch he threw on the night.

I said after the Green fight that Miranda would be a whipping boy for the world's elite and will end up suffering as many career knockouts as Iran Barkley.

What was it that people saw in him that made them think he could beat Pavlick or any top fighter?
