Uhh no Mora sucks didn't he get dropped by mediocre opponent not long ago ?? Mora sucks imo and i can't wait until he gets exposed.
Mora got dropped by Archak Termeliksetian who had a reputation for being a fearsome puncher. In fact at the time of fighting Mora he had just been on the fringe of breaking into the top 10. He had lost a UD to Sechew Powell and then had been retired in an even fight against unbeaten prospect Giovanni Lorenzo. Mora stopped him in 7.

He completely schooled Manfredo in their first fight making him look clueless and imo put in an amazing recovery to beat him the second time after being cut horrifically from a headbutt in the first round.

His last fight was a schooling of Eric Regan who at 6 ft 4 and coming off a win over Yory boy Campas represented another good performance from Mora.

If he hadn't have been on the Contender, Mora would have respect. He's seen as a nobody just because people don;t like him but the kid can most definitely box and would have easily beaten the Taylor of last night.
bilbo again, i usually take ur opinions to heart, because of ur knowledge..But in no way, shape of form does mora beat taylor, nevermind "easily".
Which performance of mora's tells you that he is in the league to do what Bernard hopkins, and winky wright could not (beat taylor convincingly). i mean, i could understand you saying he could give JT a run for his money, but beaten easily? No...
because if getting a decision against eric reagan gets a guy to think mora could take JT out easily...well then..tell that to darmell castillo (10-10) and pedro ortega (31-14 with a ko over reagan)
they might want to get in line for a shot.

also, enough with this "mora did a good thing by not taking the JT fight" fighters fight, and when a fighter gets his shot, he takes it!. I know alot of fighters, and they would bury their grandmothers in dog S*** to get that shot. who the hell does mora think he is to call out shots...contender or not, he has done nothing to get any extra respect out of me...he's gotta show alittle more heart than toe'n a line against eric reagan to make me look twice at em.
Honestly, I just thought that Taylor has looked like a lost fighter in his last two fights. I think he was ripe, and that is why I think Mora should have stuck with the fight, and could have won. Yes, easily is overstating the case, no doubt. I think Mora is generally underrated given the path he's taken, and I think the way Taylor's been fighting in his LAST TWO FIGHTS, suggests that he's regressing and beat-able.

I'm not saying Mora could have beaten the Taylor that beat Hopkins or drew with Winky I'm saying he could have beat the Taylor that fought last night.

Besides it's fair to say that Taylor hasn't looked great in his last 5 fights, and he hasn't ever had any fighter particularly hurt in any of those fights either.

Mora has handled strong guys in Archak, Regan and Manfredo twice.

The rematch with Manfredo was controversial but lets get real, Mora was cut (from a headbutt as proven by the video replay) horrifically. In fact it was the worst cut I've ever seen for which a fight was not stopped.

The crowd were all behind Manfredo and with the blood and the cheering it seemed very much like Manfredo was on top.

But if you actually watched it again you'd see that the most effective punches were landed by Mora. He throws multiple punch combinations and if he hadn't suffered the cut I have no doubt he would have beaten Manfredo decisively.

Either way his record is impressive. He beat Ishe Smith who at least half on here thought beat Sechew Powell. He beat Jesse Brinkley who made Robin Reid work hard a couple weeks ago.

He dominated Manfredo once and beat him on a controversial decision the second time.

His resume is pretty solid. I'd fancy him to outbox and confuse Taylor at least in some of the rounds, he's a better and faster boxer for sure.

His weaknesses are lack of power and the fact he's prone to cuts.

But Spinks has no power, a suspect chin and little stamina and went 12 rounds with Taylor easily.

Mora vs Taylor on Saturday would have been a very interesting fight and I think Mora would have had a great chance.

All good points. And he was right to think that the fight would have generated more attention/money in Vegas or LA, and that he may get jobbed in Memphis. But sometimes you just have to deal with the hand you are delt. He could have called the rules from every fight foward if he had fought and won.

In my opinion, he outsmarted himself, and did not take into account just how much the boxing public has it out for him. His rep is severly damaged by his decision, which is why he is fighting for a 1/10 of the money on FNF to get himself back into position. Also, Taylor CANT fight him now, as Dibella knows he either has to take on Pavlik or Calzaghe to get Taylor's rep back into shape after his last few lack luster performances.
