I like the Goerge Foreman one, it'd make a good story. I'd also like to see movies about Julio C. Chavez, Roberto Duran, Ray Leonard.

There's been a movie made about Marciano, but it's shitty, I'd like to see a good one made.

There is a movie coming out which may be good though it's not a biography, it's got a good storyline so far

    RESURECTING THE CHAMP

Up-and-coming sports reporter (Josh Hartnett) rescues a homeless man ("Champ", Samuel L. Jackson) only to discover that he is, in fact, a boxing legend believed to have passed away. What begins as an opportunity to resurrect Champ's story and escape the shadow of his father's success becomes a personal journey as the ambitious reporter reexamines his own life and his relationship with his family.

....I would also LOVE to see a boxing movie about "The Boston Strongboy" John L. Sullivan.

Bareknuckle fights, heavy drinking, braggadocio, the 1st world renowned HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION....and a tough SOB

Good one, lots of drama to go off of, I'd like to see Corbett apart of it. Sullivan says he lick every son-of-a in the house, and COrbet stands up and says No you can't. Lot's of stuff to go by.

Jack Dempsey would be another neat one, particulary focussing on his early life and his fighting career.

Anywho, I think they should make a film about a struggling mediocre pug (perhaps from somewhere like Philly or somewhere - they could broadly model him on a real life boxer like Chuck Wepner or Marciano or someone). Anyway, the story could be that the world champion, and they should model this guy on a prime Ali without the politics or religion - needs to do an exhibition to commemorate an anniversary or soemthing.

So, they pick this guy, and the film is really about him rather than the fact he is a boxer, and he becomes an icon for the 'little guy', the poor people and the huddled masses by actually making a decent fight agaisnt the Champ.

    What do you think?

A Stanley Ketchel movie would be awesome. The very definition of living fast and dying young. Not to mention the chewing on cocoa leaves with Jack London and the psycho Wyatt Earp wanna be angle. You couldn't get much better then that.

Watched Rocky last night. Awesome movie

a good rocky marciano movie should b made -not like that low budget crap that already came out--the movie could begin with his pub fight in austria when he was in the army and end with the second charles fight

As much as I like Roy, I don't think his life translates well into a movie. If you look at the guys who have had movies made about them - Ali, Rocky Graziano, Jake Lamotta, Tyson - they've all had incredible lives outside the ring as well. Graziano and Lamotta were street thugs who ran into trouble pretty much their whole lives, Tyson was just insane.

Roy had an amazing career, but besides being screwed out of a gold medal and his fallout with his father, not a lot of amazing stuff has happened to him in his life (or at least none that has been made public knowledge). I mean who wants to watch a movie about a guy who was WAY too good and was never really challenged for the first 15 years of his career?

Yeah, cc for that one - Ketchel had a rambunctious life that would be a great film in this PC age.

Mike Tyson 'Humbled' By Bio Movie
    By Staff
    May 20, 2007

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is "humbled" Hollywood producers are making a movie based on his life.
The boxer - who became the youngest heavyweight champion when he won the title aged 20 in 1986 - has contributed more than 30 hours of interviews for the project.

Tyson says, "I will, to the best of my abilities, give a truthful account of myself."

The film, titled "Tyson", will be directed by James Toback, who has known the fighter since 1985.

Toback says, "The point is not to polish his image or make a cinematic apology, but rather to get a first-hand look at a very complex and epic story.

"He was honest about all the things that have highlighted his life, from the bitter divorce, the ear-biting, prison, to his becoming a sex addict. He is self-aware, smart and a totally fractured personality, and he made himself completely vulnerable."

Toback adds the film, due out later this year (07), would not "gloss over" incidents such as Tyson's rape conviction or the ear-biting of rival Evander Holyfield in 1997.

They made one about Dempsey....http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084160/...decent one actually, good actors in it and it definantly does the outside the ring trouble he had.

A Sammy Langford movie couldn't be bad or Charley Burley movie ...the best #2's there ever were

Willie Pep would make for a good movie...after a plane crash he becomes champ again...pretty bad ass

Young Griffo would fit the John L. Sullivan mold
