Default 3 weeks to shed 10 pounds to fight

I have three weeks to shed ten pounds so that I can weigh in at 132. My trainer says all I have to do is train hard and start cutting calories up untill the last week, then that last week I start cutting down on the water also. The day before the fight I crash and I should have no problem. Weigh in a few hours before the fight drink some gattorade a red bull and eat a protein bar and I should be more than good. Sounds good to me but I could use a second oppinion, can any one help? I know that in this sport almost all of us have had to loose weight fast so please share your expiriences with me.

Avoiding my honest opinion as a trainer
    How tall are you?

I am 5"6 and relatively skinny. I just let my self get carried away eating too dam much and know I am slightly pudgy just around the lower abbs. Muscle wise I am not big enough to compete at 139, not that I can't hang with them, I spar with people 10 to 20 pounds heavier and hold my own but I want to give my self the best chance to win in competition and that would be at 132.

it sounds like your natural wieght is not much higher than 132 it should not be hard at all to loose that weight how much cardio are you doing. just go lean on the meats and think about how you will be useing the carbs u take in. to be honest with u i lost 8lbs the night before a fight in the suana. but it doesnt sound like u will have to go extreme on this one just focus on training harder and smarter DONT STRESS.

I had to lose 4 1/2 pounds in an afternoon when it turned out our boxing team scales were way out so 10 pounds in 3 weeks should be a pice of piss.

A good way to loes weight is a suana or if you dont have acaes to one a very hot bath is good to shead a few pounds.
Less stress on the body than a sweat suit or running your balls off trying to work up a sweat.

I lost close to 15 pounds in 2 days for the Nationals Wrestling Tournament. It hurt. It hurt bad. I was dehydrated and tired, but I made it. I'm even smaller than you. Two weeks shouldn't be hard at all and you'll be in far better shape. Fear not

Um. Just noticed you actually have 3 weeks. No problem AT ALL. Your body is holding at least half of that in water alone. Weigh yourself before bed tonight and then immediately after you wake up. Before you drink any water, etc. See how much one night takes off.
