Just because Pac whooped Barerra doesn't mean he would whoop Naseem Hamed.

Now I would have been on that boat a small while ago but ever since i came back to the forum I really truly started watching Hamed's earlier fights prior to him coming to America and needless to say I was impressed.

Hamed had such ungodly power it was scary and Pacquiao does get hit a lot, I don't stretch to say I think Hamed would knock out Pacquiao. Just on the principle that he comes forward most of the time and he didn't impress me against Solis.

I've read what people said that it's about who you fight too, but at the end of the day, competition or not you cannot doubt Hamed's speed and/or power or even his counter punching in his pre america days. Doesn't matter who he used them against but the fact that he had them and was well schooled in those areas. And they were undoubtably THERE and you can't ignore the fact he had them regardless of who he faced. You look at someone like that guy who knocked out everyone in the first round no one is going around saying who he does it against they say that regardless of that he has true power. So I give that same benefit to Naseem Hamed. regardless of who he fought he had ungodly power and blistering speed.

Now Barerra beat Hamed by taking away his greatest asset, his power, with his counter punching stand back and jab style he also circled away from Hamed's left hand too. In fact I think the one time Hamed got in a huge solid left hand was the moment right prior to Barerra smashing his head into the corner. And now that I look back on it, it may have been a veteran move by Barerra to buy time(not minding the point deduction because he knew he had it won) because I don't think people remember how hard Hamed hit Barerra prior to that moment, because Barerra did look stunned.


However, Pacquiao wouldn't take away Hamed's power, in fact he would more then likely encourage it. I think they would both hit the canvas, but Hamed had that unnatural power that was also a one punch power, and I've never seen Pacquiao "recently" RECENTLY, stop anyone with one punch(Solis the exception) the rest of the time Pacquiao just overwhelmed them with pressure until they finally folded and it has been that way since he came up to featherweight, Hamed had the power to stop someone in a second, and that fate is what I think Pacquiao would endure if decided to go straight at Hamed. And I doubt he is a better counter puncher then Barerra so, I think Hamed would stop him.

Difinitely, Naz has the punchers chance like any other past Pac's victims.

You've never seen Pacquiao recently stop anyone with one punch because he has gone smarter against his opponents lately.

He doesn't just attack and be counter punched. He's now more mature and more aware of danger.

But hes still have the same trademark though... and that is NOT being scared to go toe to toe with anyone - blood and guts war!

Naz's style is very predictable. He's like a Matador in the ring. But the slow bull (MAB) tagged him many times.

With Naz's hands below his waiste most of the time, face expose, and taunting show boat dance,... he would eat a lot of Pac's right hook, and straight lefts.

naz would have knocked pacman out.....naz style is perfectly suited to pacmans go forward style...perfectly suited...barrera won the bout against naz because he fooled the public and nazs team by telling them prefight that he was gona make it a war and attack naz which is exactly wat he didnt do...and sat back waited while naz had to throw the punches and opened himself right up for the barrera counter.....pacmans style is too offensive for him to do this he would have gone straight for the weaving and bobbing head of naz and two gud whaackd from nazs right video game over pacman beaten.....the barrera the packman beat was no where near the man naz lost to that night.....if u look closely at naz and barrerra fight u can see how focused and intent barrerra was on beaten nazzz(check barrerras eyes out)...problem with naz was that he just gaved up after that lose never to fight seriously again thats why in my eyes he never was a real champ...real champs lose and come back even hungrier to avenge there loss

you said it best. naz's will go down easy because of his style. barrera schooled him with slow jabs. how much more with PAcquaio's whirlwind punches.

Hammed was nothing more than a gimmick with a big A$$ mouth. Pacman would apply so much pressure to him, Nas probably would $hit his trunks. It wouldn't even be close, Pacman would Fuk him up.

Kevin Kelley manged to deck prince a number of times because of Balance problems, i think that pac's southpaw style and additional would result in prince being on the canvas more often and losing a wide UD due to 10-8 rds.
