Default MSG forced to open 3k more seats for Cotto-Judah

    Wow this fights selling well!

NEW YORK, NY - With the original 16,000 tickets for "X-Plosive!" -- the June 9th world welterweight championship between Miguel Cotto and Zab Judah -- projected to sell out this week, Bob Arum, CEO of Top Rank, and Madison Square Garden have decided to open the upper mezzanine section creating an additional 3,000 seats ($50 each) to accommodate the ever-growing demands of boxing fans. This will be the first time since 2001 The Garden has opened the mezzanine for a boxing event. Limited tickets at other price levels are still available.

The atmosphere at that fight is going to be crazy. Judah's backyard and then on the Puerto Rican day parade which is HUGE. I can not wait for this one. That is going to be insane. It's going to be like when all the Poles came out for Golota - Bowe. Except no riots this time. Hopefully.

This is very impressive. There's a chance there'll be close to 19,000 at a fight that's not even really for a title. (Yes, Cotto is a beltholder, but Floyd is still considered #1 at 147).

This would be a good fight to be at, but if Zab starts his shat, Bowe-Golota all over again.
