Briggs is better than Valuev he was just a freak hype machine anybody who thought or thinks different is deluded
For his size valuev doesnt actually generate a lot of power.
My opinion is that Briggs hits harder, so i def pick Shannon.

Briggs hits alot harder 48 wins 42 ko's
And how fast did Briggs punches look against Lyakhovich?Originally Posted by Trainer Monkey
All 3 that he threw, throughout the fight and in the last rd.?
They were 3 punches that worked were'nt they?

Did you see the fight?Originally Posted by hitmandonny
Exactly. Going by that fight, Sultan has a very good chance. Being bigger isnt always an advantage at heavyweight....Originally Posted by CutMeMick
I unfortunatly only saw the last round... I know briggs was getting beat decently on points til the KOOriginally Posted by CutMeMick

Oh! No you were VERY FORTUNATE to have not wasted your time watching 11 and 7/8 rds. of utter nothing...... Seriously....Originally Posted by "PRIDE OF BOSTON"
I saw the fight and i have never seen a guy that had so little left just stay in there. Let's b honest, he had nothing, he was a beaten fighter, but he didn give up. I dont see too many fighters like that lately, with the exception of Jeff Lacy who jus didn give up against Calzaghe even though he got beat every round, or like Eubank against Watson refusing to pull out and pulling the win out of nowhere.Originally Posted by CutMeMick
I respect fighters like that.

Not even a Briggs fan,but Valuev is slow,he carries way more excess weight then he should at his height,he relies strictly on one shot opening up and using his height for leverage
Briggs CAN jab a bit, wether he does for this fight,is anybodies guess
Its one of the frustrating things about Briggs, you never know which version is going to show up
No one is debating that.Originally Posted by hitmandonny
What I'm debating here is that I don't think Briggs has enough skill and even more so STAMINA to stay in there with Sultan.
3 punches isn't enough IMO to beat Sultan. They were enough to beat Lyakhovich and if you've seen the fight then you'll know Serguei went thru the ropes more so on fatigue then Briggs actually making contact.
Haha, I think it's safe to say that Brigg's performance was in no way comparable to Lacy against Calzaghe or Eubank against Watson. You should have said he pulled a win out of nothing, because that's what the fight wasOriginally Posted by hitmandonny
