Seeing how the brothers have gone about their matches this makes sense. As someone pointed out, i think it's also redemption for vitali not fighting rahman. The only thing that would complete this chain is wlad fighting lewis if he comes out of retirment but i don't think he'd even beat a washed up lewis to be honest. I mean Wlad got byrd for vitali and Vitali got brewster for wlad but i too would rather see him fight a titlist. I'm sure after Briggs and Wlad are done with their current fights, there will be negotiations started.

And how exactly is fighting Austin, Brewster and Rahman in 2007 going to make Wlad as top as he'd like to be? This better not go through. The only person I want to see fight Rahman right now is Wlad's brother, Vitali Klitschko. But I'm not even sure he ever gets in the ring again.
    Austin was the IBF MANDATORY

Brewster is something to pass time with AND avenge a loss

Rahman....I don't believe he'll fight Hasim and if he does it's probably because K2 feels bad for Rahman due to the lack of a title fight vs Vitali.

I doubt a Rahman fight happens unless a unification fight is out of reach
I pray the Rahman rumors are exactly that.....Wlad needs to unify the division....
It feels good to be back home.

I am hoping that they are talking to Rahman in order to have a fighter on the back burner, like they did to Briggs last November. It gets you a date, a location, then a soon as a deal with a better fighter is reached(like Brock last year) back out on that deal and take the better fight.

Then I HIGHLY doubt he has any chance at all of beating Wlad....and I mean NOT EVEN A PUNCHER'S CHANCE!
I think McGirt is working with him. His trainer isnt the one fighting though so of course he has a punchers chance.

cc Back. Wlad shouldnt be looking past anyone, especially a guy who knows he can knock him out. Brewster has to win if he wants to re-establish his career and he will come to fight like he did vs. Golata.
I get a good feeling about Brewster in this fight. He knows he can knock him out. If this fight goes into the later rounds and Vlad gets a little tired he can turn out the lights on Vlad. Brewster should jump right on Vlad and try to stop him early.
