I agree with this. Mike did not land the clean punches he did in his prime since Williams and Mcbride would have been stopped in one or 2 rounds in Mike's prime. Jones would have stayed away for a few round and stopped Mike on cuts probably. Mike has deteriorated more than I thought he would. Losing to Williams and McBride is pretty bad. Jones could beat him if those guys did.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
i say tyson in the first or second rd, but if jones could avoid tyson's onslought and get into the later rds he might have a chance.
but were talking the tyson that lost to lewis, i mean tyson lasted 8 rds taking a terrible beating, jones could not do to tyson what lennox did, he just dosent have the power.
tyson stopped throwing against lewis cause he was aware of his power, but RJJ had no power at HW and tyson would just walk straight through those powder puff punches and catch jones big time and lay him out.
i love RJJ but he is an awsome SMW,but he cannot match with a true power punching HW

Troy I see your point. I wonder how Mike would have done if he got in good shape for the Williams and McBride fights. He seemed to be totally out of shape as though he didn't train for one day. Almost like he woke up and got in the ring.Originally Posted by Troy McClure
yeah i think tysons problem was at that stage of his carrer he was only good for 3-4 rds and he would gas out, but he did look good against williams for the first 2 rds, then he gassed out. williams was in serious trouble in the first rd and then something happen to tysons leg, im not using it as an excuse cause williams would have won anyway cause at that point if u can get tyson past the 4 rd hes urs for the taking.Originally Posted by LegendBoxing65
with mcbride tyson was dynamic in 10 second burst's and thats about it, he was winning every rd but gassed out.
he should have retired after holy 2

Yeah I agree. Tyson fighting now is not worth anything. If he was beaten by McBride he would be beaten by anyone who could last a few rounds. I think even Jeremy Bates could beat Tyson now.Originally Posted by Troy McClure
