Why not?
The divisions older, and Grant never really had a direction before.Hell if Shannon can get a belt
I personally think grant should have given up boxing a long time ago. Hes a physical specimen and a good athlete but it takes something extra to be a fighter.
Theres a killer instinct, i never got the feeling he possesed. Many people would say he had heart to get up from being knocked down all those times, but real fighters want to get up and turn the tables...not just show they can take a beating. That just makes you a Journeyman.
He can say what he will about being a puppet for other people in the past, but he had some decent corners. Perhaps hes referring to some shady management... but in the ring, your on your own and have to show what youre made of. I think if Grant could cut it, he would have already.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

Hes more referring to the fact that hes had 3 different trainers, and all 3 of them wanted him doing something completely different in there
It's a paycheck.
I have no issues with him coming back as long as he fights steady and leaves with a smile when someone decent sends him spiraling into oblivion.
No more of this Shannon Briggs bullcrap.
I've watched that Lewis fight many times. I can still see the shock on Grants face.
I don't see any reason he shouldnt keep boxing. Good on him for having a go, I hope he does well.
