Default Zab Judah and Paul Williams Toughest Tune up fighter in recent history

Before these fights were made. Cotto was set to fight Margarito but then the WBO threatened to take away Margarito"s title if he didn't fight the mandatory. So Maragrito - Cotto is postponed and both fighter have to have a "tune up" before they square off.

Which get to think these fights must be the toughest "tune-ups" in recent history. Both of them big fights in and of themselves.

What are your thoughts and are there other occasions that tune ups have bee this tough?

Calling these fights tuneups is rediculous.
These are pure unadulterated 100% bonafide fights.

I have said jokingly that it would be funny if both Miguel and Tony lost.

    It could happen.

The fight Zab had against Galvan, that was not even a tune up. Zab just came in to have his tires filled with air.

Both of these fights have FOTY stamped all over it...... Far from tune ups..

On a side note Danny, Do you do video requests?  If so could you do one with Wlad Klitschko flailing around the ring like a retard whn he gets hit... There should be plenty of footage with that big oaf  running and holding on for dear life whenever someone trys to hit him  (Purrity,Brewster,Sanders and Peter fights) you know how you do it with the funny music in the background

    Thanks

    Tune ups?? Lmao!!

These fights are top drawer match ups, why would Cotto fight Zab Judah in order to prepare for Margorito?? you couldnt get to different fighters in the division?

I think we're missing the point here, in a way they are tune-ups, but the real name for them are prize fights.

You guys are tottally missunderstanding me. I think these fights will both be awesome fights with great back and forth action.

But what I'm saying is that this is all a build up to a Cotto - Margarito WW Unification showdown. Margarito is fighting his mandatory and Cotto is fighting a guy coming out of 3 losses in 5 recent fights and coming out of a long layoff.

A mandatory before a unification fight is usually considered a Tune-up. However, it just so happends that this mandatory challenger is possibly one of the most dangerous fighters in the division.

A fighter coming out of 3 losses and a long layoff before a unification fight would normally be considered a Tune up as well. He just happends to be Zab Judah, a fighter at one time considered a fenom and possibly the next best thing in 140 since Swetpee up until he met with a recking ball known as the KT right hand. This guy was also the undisputed WW champ just a year and half ago.

My point is that if these were any other two fighters these would be considered tune up fights for Cotto and Margarito. So I will go ahead and call them the toughest tune up fights in recent history.

its really not tho, judah will probably KTFO cotto, and margarito will only get to show an even larger audience then last time that he sucks

im sure after they both get KTFO they can still fight, so if you can get KTFO as a tuneup i agree

but they are both probably gonna lose, as long as williams can handle pressure
