The welterweights are pretty hot right now. I would think a guy who wants to be a legend and can beat alot of guys can become one in that division

BT: How do you feel about him calling you just a sparring partner?

SM: (Laughing) I think it's funny. I mean, what he thinks doesn't matter too much to me. He is a boy, I am a man! I realized what a child he is after watching 24/7. I actually feel sorry for him. He did that whole segment about how his dad was never there for him. He says his dad would come by, take him to the gym and then go on his way. Well that's a lot. How many kids never see their dad? He is one of those types that needs constant attention. He pretends to be confident, but he is actually very insecure. That's why he calls me a sparring partner. My response is that he can call me what he wants, but this 4-time world champion sparring partner will whoop his a**. By the way, I hear Tito is in camp with Winky. Can it be that I started a trend? That instead of fighter's being against each other, they are working with each other?

    Nice!

Shane isn't retiring. No way. He's coming off two of the most impressive fights that he's had in years. No fighter walks away after an impressive win.

Shane will be back. Hopefully against Floyd.

IF PBF take the fight with SHane he will have my respect no matter the outcome and how he does it

If shane retires il actually have a much greater sense of loss than when DLH or pfb retired. He was as charismatic as the aforementioned but never as theatrical and IMO a better fighter.

Nice read. Shane is such a good lad, would be a shame to see him go.

I think (bar Floyd), he is still the best WW out there. He would be foolish to walk away now.

I think Shane would have KO'd hgim at light weight....Too much power to go with the speed...IMO he was just as fast as Folyd and would not be easily confused by any of Floyds running or slick moves.....

I believe that applies not only to the lightweight division...
Mosley the one fighter i feel could be able to beat floyd skillfully. I give Cotto and hatton a shot a thru sheer aggresion an relentless assault. But Shane (as Daxx already said) would not be confused by mayweathers style and would impose his own ring generalship upon the pretty boy.

Its a fight which would not be dubbed "can shane beat floyd" but instead "can floyd beat shane."

I think the loss would come from the fact that Delahoya has fought them all so we know his status fully.. Shane has not fought them all yet.. He still has to fight moving up and also fight Floyd.

Fuck faggot ass Shane Mosley. Everyone wanted to see Mayweather vs Mosley last year and Mayweather offered it to him, but Shane was busy with a vacation and a toothache.

His old ass should have taken the fight back in late 2006. That wasn't the first time he turned down the fight either. Now the tables have turned. Shane never gave Floyd a shot, so now Floyd will never give Shane a shot. It's petty, but it's cool with me.

It can still happen now if Floyd wants to fight him. Shane would be tough as people have said here just because of his handspeed and inside fighting. Floyd would have to fight on the outside to win obviously. And it isn't because Shane hits hard, he is just strong and fast.
