Default Who is this and say it isn't so. Cotto's next opponent?

The first day of the World Boxing Association (WBA) Directory Annual Meeting that is being held at the Maritim Pro Arte hotel in Berlin, Germany finished yesterday with some interseting developments. The next mandatory deadline welterweight champion Miguel Cotto has been set for next December 3 against official challenger Frederik Klose.

    Anyone know this guy?

Can we say Edward feather hands?

A 37 year old French man who has never been stopped.

    Let the hate begin.

I guess they can not put Miguel against heavy hitters everytime
They will wear out that Cotton chin of his before a big payday

    A mandatory is a mandatory I guess

The trouble with modern fighters is that they are not busy whatsoever though. Its a pointless fight. He should take it for 6 weeks time, knock the bum out and then take on someone worth fighting...

Of course this is not how the modern game works...

Well i think "Cotto" is after the big fights, he is just keeping busy nothing wrong in what he is doing. I mean who else is there at the moment ?? no one just keep busy and get ready for the next fight against Margarito or Williams.

Funny thing is.. This dude has never really faced anyone of any real stature..
    He has feather hands..

And he has won four of his last five fights..With his last loss coming to....

Otkay Urkal!!.. Pshhh... Thats a bad mandatory!

Frankly i hope this happens alot sooner rather then later just to get him out of the way..

Its not worth taking the same ammount of time between a fight when its against a guy like this..

But i guess it'll be an interesting knockout to udate the already pleasant cotto highlight reel

Come on Ice. This opponent is crap. Even a Judah rematch has more substance. Im sure a better fight could be made for that timeline. What about Mosley? Or even Collazo?

Maybe someone like Collazo would of been a good shout? This organisations are unreal how does this guy get a shot? It's like Urkal he must of made a mint the amount times he was paid off to not fight his mandatory!! Urkal i think had fought two fights at 147 and one of them was an 8 rounder but he was the WBA number one for about 18 months wtf?? How did they come up with that??

Anyway Cotto is a credit to boxing and i think he would fight anyone anytime, lets hope we can line him up with the elite in the next 18-24 months.

Mosley is retiring i doubt Collazo will want any part of Cotto.

I don't think that this is so bad.

It's when someone fights people like this back to back is when I see problems
Don't forget Cotto is still very young relatively speaking.

If someone holds a title and does mandatory, good fight, mandatory, good fight.
    that's fine with me.

I do agree that fighters should be more active nowadays though.
At least 4 fights a year at the championship level.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

The fight is in December. So then why not simply fight the winner of Margarito: Williams instead?

Its a much more significant bout to be made...

I disagree there Ice what else is Collazo going to do? He is seen i think now as a good test and a good match up for the title holders at 147, Collazo would be paid well for a fight with Cotto and i think would take the fight in a blink of an eye.
