    Default Bika v Bute tonight

I reckon Bika can cause an upset. Ask Calzaghe how tough and dirty he can fight,

Bute sees Bika as stepping stone
Since he arrived in Montreal in 2003, Lucian Bute has been seen as a future world boxing champion.
Now the Romania native has one more tough battle to win against Sakio Bika of Australia on Friday night at the Bell Centre to earn a shot at the International Boxing Federation super-middleweight title. "I'm close to my dream," Bute (19-0 with 16 knockouts) said this week. "It's my last obstacle.

Bute has looked really good so far. I'm thinking he should be able to bully Bika around, even if he doesn't get him out of there, I'm expecting a very one sided fight.

I would love to be wrong................

Its not a fight that particularly appeals to me. Could go either way.

I dont think anyone can bully Bika about he is a tough bastard, i feel it will be one sided decision to Bute.

Bika performed very well against Beyer in a fight that in all actuality he won but Beyer was saved. That fight was fast becoming Bika's and Beyer got saved.

Definitely a test, I think Bute wins but it will be fun to watch. Another good FNF card. We get to see the guy who is facing Valuev in Bergeron who will be fighting Robert Hawkins. More excited to see Benoit Gaudet though. Canadian Olympian in 04 who everyone had high hopes for before suffering a KO loss a year or so ago.

I really wish I could see this fight. I'm hoping Bute wins in an impressive manner.
Once again, the geniuses at TSN (Canadian sports network) have decided not to show FNF (which is featuring a top Canadian/Romanian prospect in Bute) in order to show something called World Extreme Cage Fighting. A little while ago another promising Canadian fighter had a big fight on either WNF or FNF and they decided not to show that as well this - makes me angry and disappointed.
There, I'm done venting and I think Bute takes this one, possibly stopping Bika.

Well CFH, I'll be doing the FNF thread to let you know how your boy looks. And if it's the same WEC I'm thinking and you get to see the fighter Urijah Faber, it's definitely a nice consolation.

CC and thanks, I'll check out the thread when I get home from work. It is the Urijah Faber fight they're showing, and I have nothing against WECF or whatever its called, I just think they (TSN) should showcase, hell even show, fights featuring Canadian fighters, even if its later in the week, but they're not, Briggs - Sultan fight later in the week, but not this one... its frusterating.
It's especially frusterating when some of the people on TSN bitch and whine about the lack of respect/exposure Canadian athletes get (which I don't believe is true) etc.

Yeah that must be frustrating, I know you didn't get to see Pascal or Ngoudjo which must have sucked because in all honestly, that was my favorite TV card of the year so far. And it really seemed like a big deal to the people in attendance, so I can understand you there.

But Urijah is just a savage. Very fun to watch.

Bika's a lot tuffer than most credit him for being...but I think Bute will handle him down the stretch.

I'd love to be able to catch this match up.

I hope Bika wins. I can't stand the way they are blowing everything out of proportion about Bute.

Anyhow, TSN rather show paper, rock swissors or darts than boxing... But they will show it in about a week's time. Last night or a couple of nights ago they showed the Ngoudjo/pascal fights on TSN
