    Default Why Ndou favours Castillo

Lovemore Ndou says the ``old Jose Luis Castillo’’ only needs to show up in Las Vegas on Saturday night to hand Ricky Hatton his first loss in 43 pro fights.

This should be a cracker fight. I think Hatton - he's hungrier and hasn't had all the wars of Castillo.

This is a tough fight to pic for me but I think I give Hatton the tip of the ole hat.

I think Castillo wins in the hungrier category, seeing as how he's broke and making 1/10th of what Hatton is making.

Whoever wins - if they both bring their A-game - it should be fight of the year.

I really think this is easy for Hatton. For Castillo to win he would have to turn back time and that aint gonna happen. Hatton has to make a statement in this fight or his own future regarding big fights is in jeopardy. He has been living off the KT win for to long now and needs a spectacular victory to get Cotto, Margarito, Mosley or Mayweather to take notice again.

Agreed 3rd man. I wish N"Dou would shut his trap. Who died and made him the boxing spokesperson? I'm sick to death of all his talk, and the fact that he is usually wrong about what he says. As you say it 'should' be easy for Hatton but here's hoping it's not because this could be a real cracker of a fight.

I agree Ndou is a strong and dangerous journeyman, but a journeyman nonetheless ... but his comments didn't seem so poorly considered, don't know why he has to get trashed for expressing his opinion.

Of course, I disagree with him that he could have won the fight with Paulie with a different ref ... maybe had a better puncher's chance, but of course he's got to feel a bit frustrated by it.

I like Castillo so i'm hoping he brings it to the table, but Hatton is hungry for recognition and he should win this fight in what we all hope will be a good one. Hatton UD or a late stoppage.

With all this Castillo is shot talk, you guys make it seem like Hatton is some young fighter in his prime. He's not. He's in his late 20's. Has had over 40 fights. His poor defense allows him to get hit. He's known to abuse his body with his heavy drinking. He went from a relentless pressure fighter to a "let me hug you all night" fighter (why?). And most importantly, he has looked poorly his last 3 fights. Against fighters he should of destroyed. It wouldn't surprise me if come Saturday, Hatton turns out to be the shot fighter.

I gotta agree that his lifestyle has probably taken years off his boxing career, plus the amount of fights had and yeah he has got hit a lot. This fight will show exactly what he has left.
