It might well be when you factor in the amount of interest it would generate overseas, but it won't be as important as Mayweather - DLH, if that makes any sense. I think the size advantage Oscar would have might well negate all the other factors that are in Hatton's favor. DLH has repeatedly said he cannot get below 154, so for Hatton to move up to that high a weight class could well spell disaster for him, especially considering how shakey he appeared at 147.

A guy who lost his last fight v. a guy who's never fought ppv? Don't think too many here in the states would care.

Be a good fight but can't see it being made to tell the truth.

For me Oscar v Hatton is a big fight and an exciting fight, but Hatton v Floyd is bigger and a lot more interesting, it'd be UK v US, Boxer v Puncher, and P4P #1 against the most exciting, physical and "reckless" fighter out there at the minute ( or at least that's his image), one things for sure, Hatton isn't going to cover up like Oscar, he'd go all out and he'd probably take 2-3 to get off 1, would ricky's 1's be enough to wear Mayweather down, or would Hatton take too much or be outclassed?

I really wouldn't call Hatton reckless, as soon as he gets inside he holds on for dear life. To me Floyd takes more chances because he at least tries to evade punches. Ricky just seeks to tie up his opponents so they can't throw any

I don't think it will happen, if it does it will be in the UK and yes it will be bigger, not every big fight has to take place in the states. Hatton's demolition of Castillo now puts him right up there in the $ stakes.
However, it's Hatton V Cotto that i want to see!! Very impressive Fatboy! Well done.

No it won't be bigger. I doubt they would break the 2,000,000 PPV sales that Mayweather De La Hoya did.

That fight was unique because it was the unquestioned p4p best fighter in the sport vs the most popular fighter of recent times who was on the comeback trail.

Now Oscar has lost his star has faded slightly. And Ricky is nowhere near the level of Floyd Mayweather in terms of either ability or recognition in the States so they it just wouldn't sell as well.

Don't get me wrong, it would still be a massive fight, just not as big as Oscar and Floyd.

I know he ain't reckless but a lot of Mayweather's support think he is, and I think HBO would play that card in the marketing. Hatton doesn't hold inside nearly as much as people think he does, he leans on them, and THEY grab him, especially in this fight anyway, and even more so in the Tszyu fight.

Nobody really knows who Oscar De La Hoya is over here (Britain), and Hatton isn't too popular in the States
