Default Mayweather vs Hatton = Likely Result

    Just read this :

Floyd Mayweather against Ricky Hatton would be a tremendously popluar fight with success in the money making department. Although the fight would pan out rather straight forwardly and would be a decisive victory to Floyd. Ricky's brawling tactics have brought him success over the course of his career, but these tactics will not be able to be implemented against the great balance of Floyd, who has the best defense in the world, with the ability of moving out of the toughest places in the ring.

It would be nearly impossible for Hatton to implement the brawling tactics on a fast and ever moving Floyd who would simply fight on the outside for the entirety of the fight. Thus leading to Floyd winning by a unanimous points decision. The only way Floyd could loose against Hatton would be for him to attempt to beat Hatton at his own game in brawling and fighting on the inside which would be a plain disaster, which Floyd would well know.

Hatton is a great champion but he is not at the level of Floyd and i simply don't think he ever will be. Floyd has the edge on this fight, but as with boxing anything can happen, and if Floyd has a brain freeze and his ego gets in the way trying to dominate Hatton at his own game, then i think Floyd could register his first loss and possibly through a stoppage. As for pre fight analysis Floyd has to have the advanatage.

a cotto hater could make the same statement about cotto , who has he beat You can always bring up that shat no matter who you're talking about, name one name on cotto's resume as big as tszyu, jeah you can say he was past it and what not, I for one will be glad if this fight comes off. I like hatton, even tho I think floyd will beat him, one can still hope...

jeah and that same zab judah was kayod by tsyzu in 2 rounds, whom was beat by hatton in 10! I'm not saying cotto hasn't beat nobody, I don't mind the guy, I was merely pointing out that I could make the same argument about cotto not having beat nobody!

Well here goes, I give Hatton a good chance in this fight. Why? He will put a lot more pressure on Floyd than Oscar did, he will be tougher and probably dirtier too. Make no mistake this will be a danger fight for Floyd, I think he can work Hatton out but it will take him all of twelve tough rounds to do so.

I'm a Cotto fan, but I really like Hatton too. They both fighters that come to...well fight. I think both fighters would hand Mayweather his first lost. I'm more interested in seeing Cotto Hatton though.

He didn't gain as much before this last fight. Anyways I can see Mayweather beating Hatton on the inside or outside. Hatton holds when he gets in which might cause Mayweather the same problems Castillo did. However I believe with a good ref Hatton will not or should not be able to hold that much against Mayweather or suffer penalties as well Mayweather shouldn't be allowed to push off or use his elbows.

I can agree with Floyd being the best boxer right now. I just think at 147 + Floyd fights too scared which, for me, makes for a boring as hell fight. I don't question Mayweather's ability to possibly out box both Cotto or Hatton , but I question PBF's ability to entertain above 140.

I believe a fit Hatton would show up for Mayweather and stands a very good chance of winning. And I think Cotto beats them all

Perhaps Hatton Cotto would be a more entertaining fight.
In the end someone is going home a KO victim.

I'm more of a Cotto fan personally.

Sorry bud but Gatti is no Hatton  . Hatton is a pressure MAchine of one type while Cotto is a pressure Machine Of other Kind. To beat Hatton you have to deal with his holding(hugging) tactics better than Collazo did whoever does that to him Hatton is in for a beating. John Ruiz is the HOLD MASTER JEDI but he couldn't hold on to RJJ

Mayweather UD or late stoppage. He's a different class to Hatton, although I'd like to see Hatton beat Mayweather. Maybe he throws another perfect left hook, but unlikely.

For the record,I would also pick PBF to win this fight if it happens but Hatton is a damn good fighter.

I always scratch my head when people say someone like Hatton "does'nt impress me". I'm not tryin to come down on u, but u must be VERY hard to impress. The 1 thing that I don't care for that's in Hatton's game is the clinching. But the Ref needs to handle that. If u can get away with it then u keep doin it.

Everyone has a different way to perceive things like the weight gain between fights. Some may look at the situation as u do. But some would look at it as Hatton being a VERY deterimined/dedicated guy. No matter how much weight he puts on between fights, how many times has he failed to make weight?--------Answer=0. The guy is always is in great shape when it's time to get down.

What do u find not impressive about Hatton?

Like I said, I'm not tryin to come down on u. I'm just wondering what it is that u do not like about him.

Not quite sure what a "enligh homo" is. But I'm sure that u would'nt have a problem knocking one out. Right?

U gotta love these intellectual/knowledgable posts.

That is such an ignorant post. I can not believe this guy hasn't been banned yet. He is of a sexual preference/boxing skill/of a certain character jus because of the country?? Your lack of a rationale thought is hard to fathom. May god have mercy on your soul. Someone please ban Toby Keith.
